View Full Version : Fan Roar

So when I accelerate, the fan sticks with the RPMs instead of the clutch on it engaging. So when I give it gas, it's a very loud fan roar. Even louder than my side exit exaust. (Which is usually pretty load in itself.) Back in the day, it would only do it for like 30 seconds to a minute. Now it's 24/7. I hear nothing but fan when I accelerate. I suppose it's not hurting anything, but it just makes it sound crappy. Any suggestions?

Let me rephrase that. Any suggestions BESIDES replacing it with an electric fan. I don't have money to blow on things I don't need.

That's convenient. Mine's an 99 R/T as well. Was it fully functional when you pulled it off? Did you swap to an electric fan?

Yes and yes. It has less than 10K miles on it.
