I'm just starting to get my truck into shape. I wanted to ask you guys (and Gals) What cam should I get. I'm going to Cent. Supercharge (ATI ?) it later and need headers (JAB), Superchip, and intake man. I Have flowmaster and cool air intake right now. I don't want to go crazy because I do drive it and can't do it all at once. But getting it camed out seems like the best thing to do right now. So have at it......... Also I don't want something that won't work "with" the CPU after I'm done.
it's a 5.9 2000 RT kota

John Mercedes like's his 218 cams. I think it's a but much duration unless you want to do gears/stall. The 210 series of cams seem to do well in our trucks. If you got one on a 114 lobe seperation, aka KRC 210B, it would probably do alright. Don't forget that at the same time you do a cam, you'll do waterpump, gaskets, timing chain, lifters, pushrods, rockers, springs, retainers, fluids, gaskets, valve covers, M1, TB, flash, etc.

I agree with everything sean said. Skip the tuner and go with a flash. Also for a bit more than the JBAs you can get used mopar or PPH headers which will flow way better, especially if you want to supercharge down the line.

Why valve covers? and water pump is new. ive been rethinking ever supercharging so that may change a few things.

The stock covers (as-is) will not clear most roller rockers. However once the baffles in the stock covers are hammered down they will clear most. That's what I did, it's not pretty, but it works. you may have to drill a fill hole in the baffle where the cap goes so the oil will get down into the cover.

Thats what i thought. not pretty but works.

If I don't supercharge it would that change your answer? I was looking at KRC 210X. What ya think?

That would be fine. Just be aware some people get check engine lights with that because of the tight lobe seperation. If you need to pass emissisions, with no CEL's, that might be an issue. Earlier trucks don't seem to mind as much.
