Who are the moderators and how do you get in touch with one?

Perhaps there should be a direct link, or a complete section for them.

All the exec/reps are moderators. So anyone with those icons.

Did you need something or just a general question?

Here is the moderator list:

Todd & I are also setup as moderators because we're the website/forum webmasters.

I want to drop 2 of the 3 badges, or whatever they are called. Specifically, the ones that say Div 4 and Paid DRTC member. I only want to keep the one that says Charter member.
I tried to figure it out for myself and even posted a thread to ask how, but I never got it worked out. So then I thought I'd ask a Mod, but I couldn't find any way to locate one, or even who they are, so I started a thread and asked.

Seems like there ought to be a link to one or all of y'all, somewhere on the home page. I know it's a minor detail, but if I had troubles, surely others will too.

Many thanks!!

Anyone who is a DRTC exec does have a special badge - you can then click on their username and get an option to send them a private message. DRTC execs should also be paying attention to the Site Suggestions forum.

The "Paid DRTC Member" is fully automated - as long as you're an active DRTC Member it will show up next to your name. The Charter Member icon is manually processed, I add those when someone sends me a PM identifying themself as a Charter member (I do verify this status using the DRTC's Member List).

Anyone can add or remove their divisional tags whenever they wish, it's a voluntary system so people can find other R/T owners living within their own area.

That is only true in theorey, not in fact. I have removed myself from Div 4 membership. Div 4 doesn't show up on my lists anymore, but the Div 4 tag is still there.

And from what you also said, I gather that as long as I paid my DRTC dues, that badge cannot be removed. Right?

Odd - the forum control panel showed that you were still a member of the div 4 usergroup. I have now forcibly removed that association.

As the system is configured, yes that is correct. The only alternative available that is completely automated (to prevent people from claiming they're DRTC members when they're not) is to remove the icons from all DRTC members and only relying on the green username color to identify who is an active member.

I went to user CP and edit memberships and Div 4 was the only one that wasn't there. Oh well, at least that one is gone for now.

No problem, I guess I'll have to live with it then.

Thanks!!

You will be proud to display the fact that you're an active DRTC member, and you will like it! The beatings will continue until morale improves! :nana::jester:
