i put the truck back to a stock tune and i have not seen the code yet. im going to put the tune back on later in the week and see if it does it again.

that's an internal fault in the PCM itself. The tune shouldn't make any difference.

It's possible the tune is somehow corrupted or has an incorrect checksum.

i put the sct tune back to stock three days ago and i have not had the code since. i will put the tune back on this week and see if it comes back.

so if i had my tuner rewrite the tune, can it possibly fix the code??

My check engine light just popped on. What is P0172 and how do I get rid of it?

ive had that code before. i replaced my driver side 1/1 o2 sensor and it fixed the problem. the code is:

P0172 (M) 1/1 Fuel System Rich A rich air/fuel mixture has been indicated by an abnormally lean correction factor.

Would this be the pre-cat o2 sensor or the post-cat one?
