For my 01-03 trucks, I really liked the B&G PCM flash - absolutely hated hitting the rev limiter and off-the-line bogging.

Nitrous has been an overall bang for the buck permagrin.

As odd as it might sound, STICKY TIRES. I love burnouts as much as the next guy, but I can't stand spinning my tires when I want to GO!

4.56's, and as said above...B&G flash!

Best mod for the buck to me is the 20" chrome R/T replica wheels. I think they look badass!

i had to say it just to be difficult. nah, being in college means the funds are tight and unfortunately i've wasted my money on a buncha other crap instead. so i'm poor. as it sits without a flash or tune, i'd say i feel like my M1 and TB upgrade were worthless. it's all about pieces to the puzzle!

All you guys with your nitrous talk. Yeah it's fun when you can use it. lol I also thought of another one of my mods that I absolutely love. My Powertrax unit. With the Hotchkis and the Powertrax, my truck is just so much more fun to drive ALL the time.

[QUOTE=hskr;6991]All you guys with your nitrous talk. Yeah it's fun when you can use it. lol

You can use it a lot more than you might imagine. I used to run a 100 shot with an open bottle, 24/7. It didn't stay armed, but it was just a toggle switch away and I would use it a couple times a day in short bursts. It lasts quite a while if you're not running it for a full 1/4 mile each time.

The Paxton was my favorite mod previously :)

Can I count the 425 as a single mod? ;) I'm sure the nitrous will be fun too, especially when I start upping the shot, 300 should be fun :woot:

Maybe I should rephrase it to "legally" use it.

Favorite was the Hotchkis by far. Was able to play in the mountains daily with it. Second would have to be any of the superchargers that were on the truck. Boost, Hotchkis and serious curves makes up a fun combo:burnout: Now if I can just get this damn Big Block project finished.

I'm going to talk to my firends tonight and see if they wanna come to the track. If I can get my friend to bring my old truck I will get him to take you for a ride. He is running a 100 shot right now. Once we find the 150 jets there going in. :woot:

That won't work either, because there are no laws against it here in Texas.

It would be interesting to know which States do outlaw the use of nitrous on the street though. :drive:

The way i look at as long as your not spinning the tires and speeding they can't get you for breaking the law right.

I've been looking into it and it depends on the State you're in. Some States consider it out-right illegal to have an operating nitrous system on the public roadways, while others add on an additional charge if you're caught speeding and you have a nitrous system in your vehicle.

It's all a bunch of knee-jerk bullshit though. Just because some kid gets killed in a street race and there was a bottle in the car, they ban the power-adder. WTF?

I've put on most of the usual bolt on's and each one has made the truck a little faster and more fun.Nothing has been that wow factor I was looking for. There will be a set of 4.56 gears going in soon. Most every one says that makes the truck more fun to drive,so I'm looking forward to that.

damn dude, he said best mod for the money. you guys are all listing expensive shit. yea i loved the blower but if its mod for the money im gonna have to go with one of three.

1. 4.56 motive gears
2. gibson headers and custom y pipe cause i only paid 50bux for em.
3. mopar pcm i only paid 150bux for.

2 & 3 = gotta love used parts from fellow r/t owners.

Or unless I get a job that requires a lengthy drive to work. Gas prices suck ass right now!

My best bang for the buck mod was my Superchips I think. Engine and tranny both perform much better. And it only cost me $250.

Don't get me wrong, i absolutely enjoy driving the R/T, but i don't want to drive the truck to school because of all the other students there do not really care about of people's cars. Plus, i don't want to drive the truck when there is salt/sand on the road because of weather, also it is cheaper to operate the Buick than the R/T and i am just saving the miles on the truck.
