no doubt it's like $2800 for a day at KCIR and that doesn't include track cleanup and oil downs..

Sounds great, even if we go over 40 trucks (which hopefully we will), it'll still end up being one of our cheaper rentals. Thanks Ken! Definitely make sure we get our request in.

the way to look at price is that basically you're paying 60 bucks per vehicle. it breaks down to a lil over 62/vehicle before 40 then 60/vehicle after 40. i mean you figure at most TnT at local tracks you pay 20 to race anyway, so i don't think it's that bad of a price.

Does anyone know how strict Milan is? I'll probably be running 12's by the time the meet comes. Would I need all the extra safety crap or will they let me get away with it?

You need a driveshaft loop if you're running slicks, and a helmet. And depending on where your bottle is mounted, a blow down tube if it's in the cab.

you'll need a SFI aproved fire jacket for using nitrous and an SFI aproved helmet. a drive shaft loop will be needed as well. other than that, you should be fine.
have you relocated the battery?

a kill switch on the back of the truck that is clearly marked OFF. if you use a box it must be vented to the outside. the rules also state that the box/battery must be bolted to the frame. i've got mine bolted to the bed and haven't had any problems in tech. needs a minimun of 3/8" shanks holding it down.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong (and there's a good chance I could be LOL), but I seem to recall the rule changing, or maybe folks were just talking about that it might change, to where it has to be a push/pull switch now, that you can't use the flip switches anymore. And push has to be Off. Again, my rulebook is sitting at home, so can someone confirm that?

That is correct Dave push off..use the same switch just mount it under the truck with a rod to work the lever.. here is a nhra link..

"The switch must be located on the rear of the vehicle, with the "off" position clearly marked. If the switch is of a "push / pull" type, then "push" must be the motion that shuts off the switch, and plastic or "keyed" typed switches are prohibited."
it doesnt say that the switch HAS to be push/pull.. it says IF it is, then in must be off. For the rest of us- a paddle switch with "off" marked.. looks like we're still fine.

that's refering to the switches that you can pull the lever out just like an actual key. those are not legit.

yeah, that's the same one i have. i just unplug the connector on the back of the Alt just before i head up to tech. so when they test it, it actualy kills it, LOL!!! then i plug it back in when i get back to the pits. i plan to have it done right sooner or later.

ive got everything i need to relocate my battery... cable, switch, roll pan came in today... i fudged up and got a battery tray that bolts to the frame and the battery to the tray, like an L shape--- maybe i can get creative and follow the rules for mounting- or just hope they dont crawl under and look...
ive got the pics of your connections somewhere.... im no electrical genius - but im pretty sure i can figure it out. what needs to be done differently to have the switch work like its supposed to without having to unplug the alternator? cause- i was just planning on hooking it up like stock, extending the + cable all the way out back and - to the frame. of course hooking the switch up to +. no juice means no run.... right? or can the truck run off the alternator if you disconnect the battery? i really shouldnt think about things that confuse me while drinkin...............
