Looks good. I'm debating between just cutting out the spare tire carrier, or that whole middle section and just leaving the two bars that connect to the frame.

i just cut the center of it out so that i can have access to my fuel cell fittings everyone tells me to mount the a1000 as close to the pump as i can is this correct?

Most folks mount the pump on the frame rail, which is where I plan on putting mine. That's pretty close to the sump, so the line shouldn't be too long.

Looking good man.:rockwoot:
Also looks like you have alot of money wrapped up in the fuel system. Some day when I build up my long block I will have to do the same thing as you.

Yup, that's where I plan on putting mine.
Can't wait to see your setup run, should be pretty stout.

Dave, you should replace the tire carrier with a shock mount bar/cross member. And get the shock axle brackets that adobedude did.

that would be awsome :rockwoot:

I definitely want to do that. I think I'm going to get it on the road first and then worry about that, or else I'll keep adding things I want to change and it will never get finished! LOL Some of the guys up in MD said they could help with changing the shock setup, so once it's running I may take it up there and see if we can't make it a weekend project.

If the economy doesn't improve....
You can buy mine.
I'm inches away from selling the thing off piece by piece...It's getting to where I can't justify keeping it. It's all paid for, but my house isn't. I have 400K equity in my home and no way to tap into it now, the home building business here just tanked.
Try to take out a home equity loan without an income.

Sorry to hear that Dave. Economy straight up sucks. Hope that it picks back up for you. If you end up parting out the truck, definitely let me know.

Hmmm how much would you sell the truck for? Bet it would run way faster down here in FL lol.

I'll part it out...I'll get more money out of it like that.
Or even if it'll get to the point that I will have to sell...But I'm comfortable with it if I do, a little A-body keeps calling my name.
But I dropped a lot of out of "out of pocket" cash on my home remodel with the idea I would refinance and pull the money back out and be then deduct the interest off my income taxes. I didbn't want to take out a home improvement remodel because I was so busy building other homes, I didn't know when I would finish.
Then the economy tanked, and I lost 3 fucking custom homes...Boom. Gone.
I don't want to tap into my retirement to stay alive, but right now I'm house rich, cash poor because I made a bad decision.
The parts could make my mortgage payment for over a year...Or pay 1/3 of this years income taxes... *sigh*
I'll let everyone know in a couple months.

If you wan't pm a parts list of the truck. I know you have put tons of work in her, just don't remember whats done.. Heck fab up some shock mount kits off you'res and sell them on here. I would be in line for a bar that bolted in up top. Then supply the bottom brackets and boom you can make some money. Dan

Everything happens for a reason...
I looked at this yesterday, it's clean, but it needs some detail. Fucking crazy fast. Just an ugly color inside and out.
Guy REALLY needs to sell....I might make him an offer,
part the truck out, and have coin left over....Plus when my County passes emissions...I'm safe.

Very nice. I'd love to have a nice Dart to park next to the R/T, maybe one of these days. I've always been a b body fan, but the a bodies are really growing on me (for one they're probably all that's left that I can afford LOL).

I've seen that car in person several times already. It made some of it's first passes at the Mopar Nats along with Jim Pancake's newer Dart. First pass the Barracuda's door comes unlatched and was swinging around. It's definitely got some extra attention to detail. I'm not a huge fan of the paint job and I'm mad at the name they used. Silver Bullet was first used with a 66 Superstock Plymouth but Bob Reed who also has been driving a SS/AH Barracuda for years named his car that ages ago, so I kinda wish they had been a lil more original.
Pass on that Dart... Come on, can you honestly say a 73 looks as good as a 71?

I'm passing on it, only looked at it...It's ugly, and I'm a small block guy at heart. Gotta love the sound of a 440 though.
