dumb true dual question

So i want to put true duals on my truck. I have a 01 RC RT and also have kenne bell kid length headers im putting on later in the spring. My plan is to run 2 and a half inch pipe into spintech's. My question is I want to run with my pre cats. Are any of you running true duals with the precats still? Would the originals cats work with the bigger pipe or would i have to get new cats to match up with the 2 1/2 pipe. If i have to get new cats what kind should i get? Sorry if sounds stupid but Ive been thinking about this for a lil while now.

I would ditch the pre cats and run 2 hi perf. cats if your worried about emmission. If you have no emission testing ditch all the cats like I did and run dynomax race bullets for the ultimate in loudness.

i have an 03 with the three cat set-up and ran the spintech true duals with high flow cats (obviously getting rid of all stock cats) and have no cel or any issues whatsoever, so basically what i'm saying is yank out the factory shit and put high flows :biggthumpup:
