rc sub box pics

we just built this box for my rc dakota. I originally had a sealed rear firing box but i wanted it ported so this is what we made. fits like a glove. I want to downsize from a 10 to a 8 for more box room but i have to deal with what i got. Let me know what you think. Im going to either paint it or wrap it in padding/carpet.

That will look slick when its all finished up. The only question I have is this.

What about your elbows crushing the speaker foam/rubber? I think it would look bad ass carbon fiber covered.:goodluck:

im gonna order grill for it but yeah thats the only bad thing. you can rest your elbow on the top but thats about it. its not bad about hitting your arm unless you try to hit it.

I suppose you could get some arm rests that fold down from a ramvan and mount them to the box. That way you have arm rests. But then again Im old and its probably not cool. lol

Looks great, I'd like some type of arm rest if it were me as well (in fact I made a 10" sealed box between my seats and had about 1.5" of cushion on top of it under the carpet)...but it looks like you did a great job with the design and construction, how does it sound?

it is alot louder than the sealed box i had in it. we decided to go stealth with a arm rest, just gotta pull it back out and finish it.
