Haha. It's required to drink before you eat that garbage. Between the liquor store down the street, the parking lot, and waffle house we should have plenty to do. If the weather is nice, I may be convinced to do some grillin'...

I live about 15 miles from the track and people are more than welcome to stay at my place. I have a huge house with a bar downstairs. I will have my kegarator by than and that gives me a good excuse to buy a grill. I think we could probably fit about 10 trucks in my driveway. I think it would be a waste for people to stay at a hotel really.

sounds like a good time. I was planing on getting there early
Sat morning to save some cash on hotel. What kinda beer you gonna have in the keg?:D
Don and I could probably knock your haeds and cam of in a day. I have every tool you need and Don has a bunch too. I have a heated 1200sf shop wit a pit.

If enough people come over we can vote on what I get and what size. I usually just get a 1.4 barrel so that I can drink it myself. I think I am going to have it done by then. I local shop is going to do everything including the tune for me.

02-21-2008, 01:25 PM
Is that place in DE doing it? I'm down for a hotel room with my own bed and shower. The Cecil hotel parties are half the fun. I say we grill at your place after the racing, and then we can all go our seperate ways after dinner.

I dunno if I'll have the woman, It turns out she has exams till the 9th, I have them till the 6th. I'll prolly hang around to drive her home. So well either be comming home late friday or really early saturday, she may not be up for a weekend of truck stuff, might want to see her family.

I vote yuengling. On a related note I can drink legally today :rockwoot:

mtlcafan79
02-21-2008, 03:13 PM
Yueng is one of the pickiest beers in a kegerator that I've come across so far. It just doesn't like to pour without foaming. You've gotta have everything just right. Bars have a hard time with it too. Fresh yueng on tap is nothing like in a bar though. Spotless lines, correct temp/pressure and it's quite tasty.

I am having it done by that shot in DE. Yueng is hard to even get at a local liquor store. I had trouble with the dark beers in my kegarator. Any other votes?

02-22-2008, 12:36 AM
I personally wouldn't get a keg unless you want to have a bunch left over. People usually party at the hotel and some people head out for a waffle house run. Most of the time we all just get our own beer since people all have their own preferences. Sometimes cecil is only a handfull of people, sometimes it's 30. Yueng is always in stock at all of the liquor stores around here. You need to find another store or have them special order it. Any place that has kegs down here has it. Places that don't carry kegs can easily order it.

I talked to Chris about an SCT tune today too. Once I can scrape together some moula, I'm gonna stop by for a visit.

ADakotaRTGuy
02-22-2008, 12:38 AM

Bryan probably doesn't know, but Cecil closed on us on a sunny day once. It rained so bad the day before it washed all the rubber and VHT off the track. OK everybody, since we are not Dynoing I have a few trophies left over. "Most Horsepower" and "King of Street"
I can have new plates made up to say whatever.

So I was thinking maybe do a "Reps Choice" or "Executive's Choice" for the Truck that Ashley, Chris R, and Myself thought was the nicest, best, coolest , whatever...

then theres the King of street award. What do I do with that?
It was supposed to be for the best of the 3 events.
Fastest E.T Best reaction time and most horsepower.

For the Fall meet, I am working on something better than a few awards IMO. My cousin is real big into photography. So
I'm thinking paid members would get a pic of them holeshoting. WE Shall SEE

Just my 2 cents, make one a Participant's Pick, that way no one is pissed at you 3 for not picking their's. Just write the owner's name on a piece of paper, drop it in a box.

And for the other one, make it a Long Distance Award. Gotta award someone for driving so far with these gas prices. ;)

And for the other one, make it a Long Distance Award. Gotta award someone for driving so far with these gas prices. ;)

Good Idea on the first one. I already have a "Longest Haul" award.

No, i think that was when we got thrown out of the Hampton, you know, when I threw the football on the roof?

Or drove to the dyno in the monsoon in drag radials and a shortbelt?

That was when Man Purse lost his keys, the football, and when a buddy of mine poured Guinness all over the engine bay of a lime green truck.

Gates are at 8am IIRC... It all depends on how much trouble we get into tonight.

Is anyone bringing a race jack so I don't have to bring mine? I'm thinking of bringing full race wheels if anyone wants to try them after I'm done.

Blackwater = deer in headlights

Mopar = $3/gal, skittle.
---------------------

The EVO wanted NONE of the PT Cruiser, neither did the dude in the 327 Nova.

--------------------

I picked up a 36 yr old, mother of two. I've got brass balls, what can I say.

--------------------

You guys totally missed out on the fun, and that fact that Greg finally dropped a waffle house shit on us last night. Oh, and I think I was the drunkest member. I blew a .10 on the breathalyzer the night before, and I passed out on the sink Friday night as well.

You should have been there for the stripper that had no clue what a DoD contractor was (like Blackwater), but knew that Mopar meant Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep, and that they were selling cars with gas at $3/gallon, and knew that Turbo Mopar meant that I probably drove an SRT4 (aka Skittle).

She looked like Hillary Duff, too. That was awesome ;)

I did my best to make up for Jack's absence by dropping bombs all weekend. Waffle house and beer always proves to be great fuel.

I also maintain that that brethalyzer was effed up as it said I had a .00 when leaving the brewery, when I clearly had had enough to make me have at the very least a .01 ... that or it was calling me fat.

I've been pretty trashed and had .2x's before with it. I dunno.

For those that missed Chris' drunken rambling, Friday night was the traditional waffle house. His slow ass PT pooper couldn't keep up with the blown GTP on the way back from an hour long safari into delaware to find beer before hand.

Saturday we awoke to the traditional Cecil weather of rain. We couldn't get a dyno for the day, so I took everyone to Clipper City Brewery in Baltimore. http://www.ccbeer.com/ $5 gets you a glass and five beer samples. Some of their beers are 7 and 9% abv, so you tend to get your money's worth. After everyone had a good time there, we headed the 15 minutes to my house and did some grillin' action. Anyone that was at the Nats last year knows what the BBQ chicken I do tastes like. I made up some of that, some wings, and Justin did some burgers.

Most people had to leave after food was done. The wierd part was after everyone left my house, I was stuck with a clean kitchen somehow. Thanks ladies (that includes Greg that washed dishes too). Those that were left went to the pre '72 only car show that's every Saturday night near my house. Chris should have some good pics from there. It's nice going to a car show that's all muscle and no rice.

After the car show it was BYOB strip club time. More good times were had there. I think Chris wants to come back in two weeks for my Memorial day BBQ and try to pick up that Mopar stripper.

All in all it was a good weekend that included no racing. Better luck next time I guess.
