Did anyone ever find out the totals for the 2001's?
Any break down by cab and color?
If it was posted before search didn't bring anything up.

I have a '01 amber fire RC with 5,600 miles and I need to know how
many they made for insurance reasons. After the accident, my agent is
telling me it wasn't worth anything.

thanks,fred

No one hurt, but it'll be a while before she'll see the road again.
Insurance says it's only worth $5500! I know it's worth more than that. Someone told me once they that these are limited edition trucks to start with and only a handful were in this color combo.

The truck isn't old enough to use the "rare" label. Right now value is taking a serious beating. Excellent condition it is probably worth $10K.

Hey Scott, weren't you looking for one of these? :jester:

Maybe he'll sell it cheap? Tell your friend, "I'm sure it'll buff right out!"

I've seen it posted only as combined totals for 00,and 01 as 46 regular cabs, and 165 club cabs.I have it somewere that 119 clubcabs were produced in 00.Sorry I can't be of more help, but it just goes to show how few were built in our color.
Does that mean its worth alot today? Not to others, only to you and I,cause I aint parting with mine for nothing lol

Unfortunatly in their eyes its just a "used" vehicle; they'll low ball ya for sure. I'm guessing they want to total it out? Fight them for the most you can get; then buy it out from them and either fix it yourself or let one of us grab it from ya!: goodluck:

They are going to total it, but it is the price that we are not seeing eye to eye on. I know it isn't a collector yet, but it is quite rare and desireable. It was practialy brand new.
I am going to try to get as much as I can out of him for it. I will probably keep it and either put it back together with NOS parts or simply part it out. If I part it out, I'll let you guys know.

The 46 RC's and 165 CC's were for 2000 only

841 RC R/T's in 2000 and only 556 for 01, so I would imagine the number of AF RC R/T's in 01 was less than the 46 there were in 2000. That's pretty damn rare IMO

I hope they cut you a nice check, sorry to hear about the accident

Man that's a sad sight......glad to hear no one was hurt! I've heard the same numbers posted above, but never could confirm it for the '01 model year......I would love to know though!! I actually saw a post before they guesstimated around 80 RC R/T's in Amber Fire '00-'01...

Only 46 in 2000, that's pretty rare! Assuming they made 30% less RC in 2001, then that would put it somewhere around 30 Amber Fire RC's in 2001 and I remember something about that color being discontinued part way through the model year.

How come it is so hard to find out these numbers? I mean, they can tell you how many Hemi 'cudas were built with a shaker, power windows, rear defrost and 8-track in Plum Crazy. And that was almost 40 years ago. You mean to tell me that they kept better records back then than today? Dodge knows, they just aren't giving it up for some reason. Or the right person hasn't be asked the question.

From what I heard Amber Fire was available the second half of '00 to the first half of '01......nothing confirmed, I'm just reporting it!! :D

Amberfire was available from the get go for the 00 model year.I did the buy back thing with my 99,and special ordered my 00 in the fall of 99.I had a flame red 99,and almost ordered another. The person I was dealing with happened to walk out of the office just before we finalised everything when I spotted the 00 brochure sitting on his desk.I started thumbing threw it and saw the little color squares, and there it was, amberfire.
When the guy walked back in I asked him if it was available on the R/T,to which he replied, you actually like that color.I said hell its only a square in a brochure,I don't know what it would really look like, but its not the usual colors available, and I wanted something different.
When it arrived at the dealership in the spring,I made sure to be there when the truck arrived and unloased it(to this day I wish I had remebered to bring a camera, was just so freakin excited). The salespeople, and gm of the dealership wanted me to leave it in there showroom for a couple of weeks, you can guess my reply.
So to me my truck is priceless,it is the first and only vehicle I actually ordered, and didn't just buy off the lot.
I would honestly love to know the real numbers on our trucks. It may someday bring to light how unique and special these are,and that they're not just another pickup.
Sorry for the long story lol

i have to agree on the amber fire color that was the only reason i bought mine. And also to add to the numbers in the research i did for the 2000 i have been giving to different totals for the club cabs, i was told 49 and another person told me 100 and this was for amber fire.
