The truck had aftermarket headlight assemblies in it when I got it. Everything works but the signals blink like there's a bulb out. I'm wondering if the new bulbs pull too much or not enough juice. How many bulbs blink in the factory set up (up front)? I don't know the make of the new assemblies but here's a picture of them. Only one signal light.

I found out today that these trucks don't take a standard type relay so I'm wondering if any of you have run into this and could suggest a fix. Thanks!

Are you running LED bulbs?

No, they're incandescent.

Stock lights have two bulbs, so if there's only one bulb and the other connector is just hanging behind the light without a bulb, that's probably the problem.

Those headlights have LEDs built into them for the blinkers. If you want to keep them, you WILL need to buy some LED load resistors and wire them up to the wires going to the LEDs. No way around it on a '01+. The '00 and olders can just swap the flasher relay.

Where are the LED's? I know for a fact they have incandescent bulbs that you can see. The ones you can see are also the ones that blink.
I think you're right Dave. I need to pull the lights out, find the unused sockets and put bulbs in them. I'll find a good place to stow them that might give a "backlight" effect behind the buckets. :)

I stand corrected! I noticed the other day there are in fact LEDs, they're under the headlights, kinda hard to see. I think I'd rather just swap out to a different style headlight. These look kinda bug-eyed to me. :D
