Ok, I have a NEW Dynojet and decided to go with Innovate instead.
(it'll match the rest of my gauges perfect and hopefully gather more info)

What would be the better product for gathering info to tune with SCT?
The LC-1 is only a wideband, correct? But I can add the LM-3 or SSI-4 to it to get data logging?
I'd also like it to record data and I can upload info later via usb cable. I don' want to have to have a laptop in hand to record info.

LM-2

LC-1 + SSI-4

Any help appreciated :hail:

lm 2 will log everything ya want/need, lc-1 only logs the a/f which you'd have to purchase other parts to log more sensors. or you could get the lc-1 and a ssi-4 to log the same if not more and cheaper.

LC-1's do not log anything by themselves. They just drive a gauge. You will need another device to log the data stream. Whatever you end up with, make sure you log RPM. Without RPM, your data is pretty much useless IMHO. I have an LM-1 in two of my trucks and they are set to log AFR and RPM. I start logging right before I stage and turn it off in the shut down area.

You can learn a lot from the data especially when you graph it.

That shows a 4k rpm convertor at work on launch. Adobedude's data BTW.

I run one of these on the column for an AFR gauge.

They are $79 from http://www.dynotunenitrous.com

When you are racing you really don't have time to be watching the gauge. I check the logs back in the lanes.

I am using the LM2 to log data for Sean. I have the O2 sensor in the exhaust for the AF readings. Then I plug in to my ODB II for RPM's, Timing, MAP, TPS and that's what Sean needs. For shits and giggles, I log IAT, Engine coolant temp and vehicle speed.

You will take the log file and open it up on your computer to view it in graph format.

The LM2 is great, all though it can be buggy at times. I am using the beta firmware to keep the handheld from locking up my AF readings when the ODB II is plugged in. The beta worked for a little while but it will read for a little while longer before it locks up.

I think I have finally mastered that thing...lol.

What I noticed on the lm-2 or atleast on mine was if I had the obd2 port plugged in when I started truck it would e9 the a/f. But as long as I had the obd2 port unplugged when I started up and then replugged it in never had a problem with the a/f locking up.

I can't remember if I need Sean to lean it out a bit or not, still looks a little rich. I sent him the graph and my data logs...But I never followed up on it. We we're trying to get the Tranny Codes to go away due to the 727.

Yea, I forgot to mention that. I have to leave my ODB II unplugged cause it will power up the LM2 but it can't power up the O2 sensor. But it won't power up the O2 sensor unless it is booted by the cigarette lighter.

Just one of the bugs of this thing.

I'd leave the fueling alone. Was that on his Race tune? A little more timing will lean it out too.

That the 2nd race tune he's sent me...

Just one of the bugs of this thing.Unless I'm logging, I just leave my obd connection unplugged, otherwise after a few days of sitting the battery will barely start the truck.

I'd just start racing it more the way it is.
