Well im torn between the two. I currently have 3.92's and I know alot of people say that going form 3.92 to 4.10 isnt worth the time but I just have a feeling that 4.56's will be too much.

Im about to have a motor built and plan to supercharge it as well. Im worried about the rpm's when I finish the 1/4 mile. I still have the stock pcm and probably will for quite a bit longer, so my shift points are still at 4800. Right now I HAVE to shift into OD or I would be bouncing of the rev limiter for quite a while.

What im asking is wouldent it be best to be able to finish the 1/4 without shifting into OD? I understand that wont be possible until I raise the shift point by a flash or sct. Is there anyway to figure out what rpm I would finsh the 1/4 in?

4.56s were like the second mod I did to my truck.I use a 29 inch slick and
do not have to go to OD for the quarter.Going off memory I think 5600 to
5700 rpm is the norm.

now if they only made some 4.30 gears and people with a daily driver would be set.

From what I've read, running 4.56s and 29'' tall tire would equate to around a 4.30 gear ratio.
