Friend is giving me his v6 4x4 dak. Looking to swap frames to convert it to 2 wheel drive and transplant my spare LT1 into it (carb conversion) Might as well get into my flame suit ahead of time.:finger:

I might have access to a 440, but I don't want the nose weight and heating issues. If I could swap for a 2 wheel plain as you can get i'd rather do that

Well of course we'd prefer to see a Mopar power plant in there, the 440 would work nicely. There's a guy on Steve's site with a stroked 440 (500 I think) in a GenI/II Dak, it's pretty sweet.

I see nothing wrong with putting a chevy power plant in a mopar.. After all everyone knows chevy parts are much less expensive to buy..That is a good thing because you will have to buy a whole lot more parts if you want to keep up with a geniune mopar.. Of course look on the bright side you will be so slow,,you will have plenty of time to put all them parts on..I bet you feel better allready,,carry on..

Seriously though bud if you are going to trash the frame I am intrested..You are far enough away I don't know if it would be worthwile to either one of us..

i figure i have two options. 1. trade the whole truck for something else (prefer a two wheel drive dak; everyone has a s10 v8) 2. sell truck for funds to buy another dak. I don't see either happening soon so it looks like frame swap
