After dropping the front sway bar, draining the gas tank, throwing slicks on truck, load cal tracs up. I still had shit to do, so washed truck, washed tow rig, washed trailer. Ofcourse after washing you have to shine all the tires up. So after that put truck on trailer. All I have left is to get my tool bag together, grab some cash, and we are ready for lift off tomorrow. I can't wait to see how it runs now with the new 4.56's, and not a LSD that is dying. Pictures below.. :rockwoot:

Thank you for the comments, those mirrors are the stockers painted to match. The cowl is stock as well, just painted. The back bumper is a stocker that has been massaged. :jester:

I got a kick ass result from the old tired lsd/3.92's to new eaton tru trac 4.56's.

The runs where:

1st) Reaction: 1.02=sleeping
60 Ft: 1.97
330 mark: 5.71
1/8 E/T: 8.83
MPH: 78.69
2nd) Reaction: .93
60 Ft: 2.0
330 mark: 5.74
1/8 E/T: 8.88
MPH: 78.37
3rd Best run!) Reaction: 1.11=Sleeping
60 Ft: 1.91=BEST
330 Mark: 5.63
1/8 E/T: 8.73
MPH: 79.07

Boils down to, Medium burn out/22 psi air/ launch in 2nd gear will net me the best. I just need to get to track more to work on reaction times. What truck needs? Well I need to get off my ass and rich up the fuel. Than possibly more stall. Or T-brake/built 904..... Dan

Video 1 is of 2nd run: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v259/SupaMan89T/Videos/?action=view&current=Picture2983.flv
Video 2 is of 3rd best run/Yes the pimp wagon did ownage: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v259/SupaMan89T/Videos/?action=view&current=Picture2989.flv

I also bought a picture that was taken when I launched. I was pretty impressed how the truck is launching for the basic setup. Anyone know if their is a record for fastest stock long block in a R/T?

You are running 22psi on the Hoosier slicks? Don't you think that is a little high? Guys running the M&H's are running like 25 in those. I ran mine at about 16-18 and never even wiggled them loose.

I like how she felt lol, So next on my list is put the damn floor shifter in, get laptop, so I can add alittle more fuel to her. I wanted to launch it in 1st, but even with a built stocker tranny with transgo shift kit, I am afraid I would screw it up. All I know is 2nd gear launch felt awesome!

I only got in 3 runs yesterday, on the 2nd run when I ran it in drive launching with 22 psi after running 25 on first run, it seemed to slow up a bit. Seems like for my truck, the lower the psi I need to shock it harder out of the hole like the last run. I still might try lower psi next time out, but will have to hit her hard out of the gate to go faster. Not sure If I am making since, would be nice to have more of a stall, and launch in 1st gear. But afraid of screwing up the stocker that I have built up. Dan

That makes sense. Might only need that low of a PSI when you are running big power. I maybe should of upped the PSI and I could of run faster.

Honestly man after reading what fellow R/Ter's and watching other racers/ automotive sports. It boils down to no 1 setup will be the same for the next guy. Heck if we built my truck to same miles, mods as you'res. We both could race at a different track and still have a different result. Thats what makes drag racing so much fun. :rockwoot:

True, I might of gotten better times had I aired them up a little though. I could not get better than a 2.01 60 foot cause I did not have enough power to push through all the grip that the slicks game me. Might see what it does on Amber.

LOL Amber is atleast 400 lbs lighter than you're cc. So she will be faster depending on what mods you're CC has. There are plenty of times I wish mine was a reg cab. Though it is cool to go fast in a club cab. I gotta say I was probably one of the top 3 fastest mopars at the drag strip yesterday. There was a 69 barracuda fast back that was fast, and the rest of the ones I saw. Aka Demons, 70's cudas, Darts were not as fast as me. Though that boiled down to shitty tires, and suspension setups. Amber better be way faster than the CC. I did not have any internal work on the CC. This has 2.02 heads, RR, and a cam on top of the 400 lbs lost. So I better hit 13's or I will be pissed. haha.

What mods do you have on your truck BLU? I thought you had more mods than me, but you're barely faster than me, and I'm pulling 2.13 best 60' times. On worn out street tires.

Paxton Novi 2000 huffing into a M1 2BL 53 mm TB, PPH Headers, 2800 stall msaine tc, with kevlar bands in the stocker tranny, plus transgo shift kit, Mopar PCM, Split second box controlling 2 aux injectors, that I need to adjust to dump more fuel, viper 2 speed fan, stock long block, right up to the valve train. 4.56 gears/eaton tru trac. Lowered with hotchkis springs in front, and blocks in back, bilstein shocks all around. Caltracs, hoosier 9 inch wide x 28 dia, 15x8 durango rims in back. Hard checkmate bed cover, stock rear bumper customized to be a roll pan. Whats done to you'res? Also what temps was it when you ran, and how heavy are you? I am man enough to admit I am a fat ass, and weight 300 lbs. I am even on a diet to lose 50 or so lbs for racing LOL. As for you're 60 foot thats pretty good for street tires. I was netting 2.4's with my KDW's first time out, but it was 100 degrees in June of 08. Dan

I'd like to say it was mid 70s when I ran 8.9xxx. I ran 4 or 5 of them.
Engine - M1, fastman 52mm, k&N open element air filter, Tom Fox flash, Comp Cams 210/220 .512(.544 with my 1.7s), 2800 stall converter, electric fan, PPH Headers, 3" single exhaust with no cat, stock gears, stock tranny(have shift kit in the garage). I think thats all the performance stuff.
Weight shredder frontbumper, and roll pan are the only weight reductions. Suspension is 2" blocks in the rear(which is no longer, i installed hotchkis rear springs instead) and belltech 2" front. No rear sway bar, front sway bar is still on.
Interior is full, with powered seat, 2 amps, thunderform box. I weigh 250. The truck with me in it weighed in at 4280.

Next time out(Feb 7th) I'll have changed: Front sway bar coming off, rear hotchkis instead of blocks, spring clamps, and soft tonneau installed, and new tires also.....Hoping to run 8.7 or so.

Looking at the setups, you're cam/ RR/ Tom fox flash is probably netting you healthy enough numbers to run close to mine. It is still pimpin the stock valvetrain/ cam. You really need some slicks, or drag radials. I don't know if the Hotchkis will make that much of a difference for launching. I run blocks in the back, and with the caltracs/slicks she hooks awesome. Yes there still is alot left on the table with the 60 ft, but give it time. Make sure to post some video's of you're runs. Dan

Just by the seat of the pants it feels like the suspension is better than with the blocks when I launch on the street(at least before it blows the tires off). I should have some slicks or drag radials soon! We'll see. Ill see if i can get some videos. I have videos of my last runs.
