Who's down for this? Are we going to try and do a group hotel for once? Everyone always seems to get split up.

Who all plans on going? I probably wont be able to afford it.
Its right in between Cecil and the Nats,

The funny thing is more people show up for this than Cecil. The party at Steve and Linda's house on Saturday night is usually quite good. That and there's tons of Mopar stuff going on besides just our trucks.

This is a never miss for me-not only for the daks, but for the mopar muscle everywhere. Oh, and only 80 or 90 miles away.

But, no help on the hotel dealio, as a friend living about 15 miles away lets me crash at his place.

Now, as for the truck, I get sick just thinking about last years misfortune. Hope to get it all straightend out when the truck comes out of storage in the spring, so I hope it will be there with me.

Do you have a season pass to get to all the shows? That would take up just about every other weekend throughout the summer.

I'm good for the show, probably won't be getting a room though, most likely just drive since its between cecil and the nats.

I will be attending this year so I am game for anything. The hotel I stayed at 2 years ago was a perfect setting, IMO for all of us to stay at. It is the same hotel that the Ram club stays at. Jack, Greg, and Shaker stayed there with me and all agreed it was a great spot. I can post up info about it if anybody is interested.

I usually like to show up for the All Chrysler, and this year shouldn't be an exception...i'll just be showing up with a different truck. Let's try to figure out the hotel details early so we can all be sure to get set up at the same one.

I'm checking hotels around Carlisle, Mechanicsburg, Harrisburg. Most of the close in stuff is gone already.

mtlcafan79
02-25-2008, 12:33 PM
Here's the hotel info for Carlisle:

Econo Lodge
860 N. Front St. US 15, 11 , Wormleysburg, PA, US, 17043-1024
Phone: (717) 763-7086 Fax: (717) 761-4224
http://www.econolodge.com/ires/en-US/html/HotelInfo?hotel=PA181

The hotel is across the river from Harrisburg. It's about halfway between Carlisle and Steve and Linda's house for the Saturday night party. Friday night we will be going over to Williams Grove Speedway to watch the Sprint Cars. The hotel has a bar/restaurant out front and a 24 hour diner next door. Price is $65/gvt $67.50 Internet rate. It's about the closest you can get to Carlisle without paying an arm and a leg. Everything in close is booked or $140+/night.

Nope, it was someone's SRT-8 that they had done some paint work on. It was sick, I wish I had brought my camera (or at least told you about it so you could get some pics of it). Hands down the best looking new Challenger I've seen.

Speaking of the SuperStock Challenger, just saw a post on Moparts about the drag pack setup that debuted today, ran 11.24 and 11.38, at Bandimere (5800ft actual altitude, the DA there right now is over 8,000ft and I'm sure was higher at the time of the race). No info on what engine tho. Using NHRA correction for 5800ft, that's a 10.5.

That's it, love that thing, absolutely sick. Only thing I saw at Carlisle that I liked better were the two rat rod trucks, drool city. Wish I had brought my camera

When it comes to Dave Downing, the story ends with me putting him in the wall. :jester:

Had a blast, as always. Gokarts were awesome, hope no one is too sore LOL

Next year the rest of us will have our trucks ready  And I'm definitely going up Friday morning.

Mike said his legs were sore from the demolition you and I gave him but otherwise it was a good time!
