There are some transition blocks when Mopar switched from the LA to Magnum. That happen around 92. The big difference is the oil passage is drilled for the rocker oiling. This allows you to use a LA head on a Magnum easier.

also that the main webbing is stronger. My 94 block is the same way.

according to a book that i read about big inch small blocks, the block you are looking for started some time in the late 80's trucks. The main difference between the eariler blocks and these is the roller cams. They have roller cams like mag engines but will work with LA heads. I have been wanting to stumble accross one my self.

Didn't notice that. Maybe thats why the Machinist said it would be no problem putting 4 bolt splayed mains in my ~92 block
according to a book that i read about big inch small blocks, the block you are looking for started some time in the late 80's trucks.
Learn somthing every day. I thought the first production roller cam were made around 92

I tried to get ryan at shady dell to do it but he still wouldnt.
