Found another local. Red single cab with nerf bars. From the front bumper it's either a 98 or 99. Ugly euro tails. The roof is faded. He kept the door decals and 17" R/T wheels :).

I met another local R/T owner. 2000 white, RC, clean! Very nice gentlemen. He was surprised to know I knew what his truck was, lol. It makes me feel good when I get respected :)
The weather is looking up some what. 71 degrees yesterday. Before I go totally broke or gas reaches $5.00 a gallon, I would like to do a local meet. Is anyone up for a R/T gathering around the Louisville area?

I am down here in Fort Rucker, Alabama. I am going to be flying the Blackhawk after I transition out of the TH-67 (Jet Ranger) I am in the instruments portion of flight training right now. In the civilian world I will be a commercially rated helicopter pilot. I will also have a commercial helicopter instrument rating but I have to pay 140 bucks and take a military competency exam. Somebody here told me that costs about 80,000 dollars to pay for just the instrument rating in the civilian world so I think I will go ahead and pay the 140 bucks:biggthumpup:
I was a Blackhawk crew chief for 6 years on active duty. Now I am in the National Guard and I will be flying out of Frankfort, KY

Sweet!! Yeah helicopter instruction is ridiculously priced lol. A friend of mine has his ppl and was looking into getting a rotary endorsement and found that training was between $12,000-$15,000 in an enstrom. Since you were a crew chief for six year if you don't have your a&p you might consider getting it since you more then likely meet all the requirements. Just have the Feds sign you off and study for the tests.
I currently live up in Columbus Indiana and am working on 3 hawkers and a Dornier 328 jet.
