I was wondering how it could be more deadly than a regular shotgun, both will kill you just the same :)

But it's definitely badass :rockwoot:

because it will shoot 20 grenade rounds at you in 4 seconds without having to reload. :hail: and it's fully automatic. :hail: and it was made in NC.

Plus little recoil, so you can keep the deadly end pointed at the target for the next round to follow:woot:

As I posted on Delphi...

Check out "Metalstorm" (some vids are "Metal Storm") technology on YouTube. I've been following this company for a number of years, definitely seems like the future of combat weaponry with lots of civilian applications. Their Area Denial Systems are brutal - they used to have a demo video of a UAV that could theoretically launch something like 40,000 bomblets on you in 2 seconds.

The only problem other than the craptastic sights is it's a Jammomatic! The ones we saw wouldn't fire more than 5-6 shots without jamming. Loading the drums was also a major pain in the ass.

Any of us could own one, if we had enough money. It's just a $200 tax stamp and some paperwork with the ATF.

Oh, and imagine a burglar going into your house and STEALING that.

That is pretty badass, especially the frag grenade! I like the stock design and the frame looks really solid. Sights aren't all that combat friendly but they might fold flat. I don't see how he can say its the most powerful using shot when compared to a full auto rifle cartridge but those grenades can back it up.

Here's another video

These shotguns are NOT ready for prime time yet. Loading the mags/drums sucks. You can't use a stripper clip type loader to speed/ease loading because each round has to slide in from the end under the mag/drum feed lips. It takes really strong fingers and thumbs, I was ready to shoot the bloody drums after I loaded the second one and I am used to loading lots of 30-40 round pistol and rifle mags.

The getting the mag/drum onto the loading rail is a hit or miss operation if you're not really careful it's possible to get the mag in with only one side on the loading rail and then you're screwed because it's hard to get the mag back out.
