Moving this over from Delphi.
My truck is stuck idling at 2000 RPM. I've already replaced the TPS and IAC. I've also cleaned out the throttle body really well. It was suggested that I could have a vacuum leak. How do I check/find this leak?

the bitter cold weather we are having could be causing the blades to freeze open a bit, hence the lube the tb blades
we have been getting down to -7 degrees over here

The elbow looked alright when I had the TB off. I'll double check it. The blades move just fine.

IT'S ALIVE! I reset the PCM today by unhooking the battery for about 30 minutes. She fired right up and idles back at 600 RPM. :)

know anyone thats got a smoke machine? what you would do it take the power brake booster line off the brake booster. get your nipple into the hose and run the smoke through and look for smoke coming out around all vaccum lines. oh also ya gotta put a rag over the throttle body. thats how we do it in the garage. I have never used the soapy bubble thing. its worth a try though I guess. probley is a vaccum leak though. find it, fix it. good luck.

Fuckin A, I'm still having this issue. I finally got fed up and took it to a trusted mechanic. He's had it since Monday and has again replaced the TPS, IAC and checked all over for vacuum leaks and cleaned the throttle body. Resetting the PCM will fix the issue but only for a short period of time and then it returns.
What the fuck is wrong with this god damn truck?
For those who don't remember and don't want to scroll up. My truck is stuck idling at 2000. When she warms up it'll drop down to about 1500 and then randomly bounce from 800 to 1500.

what all have you done to it? mods. takin off parts. any check engine?
could be a shit load off stuff. maybe a sticking injecter? maybe a intake manifold leak. if there are no vaccum leaks and you did all those part replacments I would
check out a sticking injector. check your oil, see if it smells like gas is really thin or way to high. this points to a injector stuck in the open positon. let me know what all you have done. and do the oil thing? let me know man.

Well we fixed her. We ended up having to drill out the inserts of the TPS sensor and adjust the voltage manually. She's been running like a champ for the last week or so.
I don't know why it doesn't want to run properly without adjusting the TPS sensor voltage. A PCM issue maybe?
