well i think i have come to a point of decision. I want more power (don't we all) The thing is my truck is a daily driver so i can't have it breaking down on me constantly. I'm trying to decide on wether to go with a good shot of nitrous for the track or get a decent set of heads and a somewhat mild cam. Is something along the lines of a krc 210x to aggressive for a daily driver.

I'd say Heads and Cam. Nitrous is cheaper put theres more of a chance breaking parts.

to do the heads and cam right you should measure your push rods for the correct length. Do you already have RR's if not you will need them with a head and cam swap. Then you have to worry about studs backing out and such if they are adjustable.
I would say go with a decent nitrous shot and have fun.

I suppose the most important question is how big is your budget for this project?

If you have the money on hand to do the full heads/cam package (don't forget the rockers, all the gaskets, pushrods, fluids, etc.) then I'd say go for it - you'll have power on tap all the time, plus it should be more reliable over the long run with less chances for popping gaskets/pistons.

Nitrous is by far the biggest bang for the buck over the short term, especially if you buy a used kit. However, it can still add up over time if you choose to add a purge solenoid, heater, remote opener, better ignition, race gas, bottle fills, etc...

well i already have hs non-adj. 1.7rr so custom pushrods more than likely. i was thinking of a head based on the factory such as the r/ts or the eq magnums (if you have these give me some feedback). Also does a sausage cam give much gain or is it mostly just for sound.

I'm running 2.02/1.65 EQ Magnums. Sausage Cam, & non-adjust HS1.7s. I just had custom length pushrods made and I'm good to go. The new build is pretty stout, I think you'd be happy with that combo.

I'd go for the Eddys and shave some weight while you're at it, they're 58lbs lighter than the R/T's. You can always sell the HS rockers (they won't work on the Eddys) and get cheap Ford/Chevy rockers.

I would definately go with eddy's if your going for a heads cam combo as dave mentioned. But You could also go with nitrous now. Leave it on after the heads and cam swap and have even more power.

I ordered the EQ Magnums's today. They were upgraded with 2.02 intake valves and 1.65 with .600 lift springs. 950 shipped

950 thats not to bad i could prob do heads and cam for less than 1700. Do the heads have any port work done or clean up on the castings done to them.
