KBB price is just under $8000 in excellent condition with that mileage. Why almost double the mark-up? Just asking? Maybe I'm missing something.

Screw KBB, they are useless at best. You can ask for whatever you want, it just depends on if someone will pay it! ;)

that is true but these trucks aren't collectibles as much as we'd love to think so. with that said, anyone who'd pay over 8k for a 99 r/t is smoking the rock in my mind. and 8k would be for a mint one like this person is claiming or a decently modded (read sub 13 running) truck. i'm waiting for mick to put his for sale so i can offer my 5800 for it.

Well, I will put this another way. Who would pay $15000 for a truck that is worth roughly half of that when everyone on this board knows what they are worth and the ones that have tried to sell them know exactly how hard it is to even get KBB's price:)
I'm just trying to figure out where the list of the rest of the mods is to calculate that price tag.....

Anyone knowing anything about the Car Market knows that modifying a vehicle beyond stock lowers the resale value as for the collectors market.

There is a sucker born every minute. Let's not fuck this guys thread up though. I'll be sure to jump all over anything you try and sell though! :nana:

I'm not trying to jack his thread up. Just give him an idea that people on a forum for Dakotas are not gonna pay that much over the value.
Like said above if some "sucker" pays that much he is smoking some good rock!:jester:
I'll be sure to get to:worky: so I can get some parts to sell for ya:nana:

prety much. carmax gave me 5000 for my 99 reg cab that had 40,000 miles on it when i went to buy the charger. i actualy was not upset to get that number. it had just blown a belly pan gasket and the front bumper was starting to rust a little.
