I just ordered a set of powerslots and hawk hps pads for the front of the 03 b/c the old pads are about gone and the rotors are pretty warpped (they don't like 120+mph stops). I have no clue what pads are on the truck they were on there when I purchased it but they did last over 40k miles. I was catching hell trying to find a place that had the powerslots or the ebc dimpled and slotted rotors in stock. I purchased everything for a little under 300 which I thought was pretty decent since they will be shipped out tomorrow and I will put them on this saturday.

i just got those pads with premium one sloted rotors from my work. i paid like 210 for the parts.

the ebc rotors and ebc green stuff pads i had before this sucked. the hawk pads feel great so far. i have no idea if the rotors i got are good (i had like 3 choices on my works vendors and i just pointed and said yea those look good. lol.) but they feel great so far. its the best the truck has stopped in years.

those rotors and pads are pieces of shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mine cracked really bad in less than 10k miles and when I called to complane they pretty much told me to screw off. They even said they may crack if they get when when their hot. WTF what if you hit a puddle after the windy roads. Ill post pics.

Also from my understanding the 98-02 brakes were way to small for out trucks which will cause them to get hot quicker, crack and cause faster pad wear. I think the 03-04 style will be alot better (at least I hope)

still stock rotors and pads lasted longer than these!!!

Looks like they were allowed to sit and rust for a loooong time, and then used... How long where they submerged in a lake before you took them off of the truck? :nana:

yeah the 03-04 are better, its not just a upgraded size for the pads and rotors though, the caliper is dual piston instead of single. i swaped my 02 brakes for ones out of my 2004 and it feels much better

i run the ssbc brake kit for the front. i got it for $200 from summit. it inlcudes slotted rotors and pads. i used these brakes on all of my trucks and i love them. highly recomended. they last a very long time too.
