Has anyone done an install of a 5.7 hemi into a Dakota R/T I have found a few on YouTube but it was 04 or 05 hemis. I bought a salvage 12 charger that is complete and intend to switch everything over from the charger to the Dakota. I am just looking for some input on what I have to expect as to difficulties with sensors, ECU, wiring?? I did find a site that has the motor mounts and headers and oil pan that are direct change/fit no fabrications. My issue will be the electrical issues.

I tuned one not all that long ago. It had a pcm and harness from Hot Wire Auto.

I have had the truck for 3 1/2 year and finally found the combination I liked . I was hoping for a 5.7 or 6.1 with a 5 speed but $8500.00 was not in the budget!!! This one will do for now

make sure you keep us updated and make a build thread. I have a 5.7 hemi on the engine stand now and gathering parts to do the build/swap.

That'd be awesome if you made a thread, I plan on doing the same thing in the next couple years
