Hi Martin,

Is there anyway to get ride of the TV cable?
Maybe, a manual valve body swap?

Thanx
Jack

5 speed maybe ? If you remove it and run without it , you could burn the trans out , idk about full manual swap

Running without otherwise will kill trans for sure

Would I send you mine for conversion?

Thanks again Martin!

I'm already running his 46RE Pro 2 trans, and believe you me, that's one sweet shiftin piece of equipment. Well worth the $26-2800 I paid!

The reason I'm asking, is because our TV cables can be a PITA to get set up correctly on aftermarket throttle bodies. There's no "bracket kit" out there that you can buy for our trucks, that allows you to swap over to 4150 style TB/Carb and retain the use of our stock cables. Folks who upgrade to 4 bbl TB's, have to build their own, custom brackets. I chopped up my factory bracket, and with a few steele scraps, welded up a bracket that works nicely for my current set up. But that's going to change when I add my water/air intercooler this winter. Having a single throttle cable allows more flexibility locating the new throttle body:stirringthepot:

There was a big group buy by whiteRT he had cncd brackets made up for the 4150 tb's man..

I don't doubt the trans shifts great. I have a manual vb on my 727, I'll never go back now haha

I remember that buy, I couldn't afford it at the time. My setup works great, but I want to relocate my TB & switch to a large (4" min) single bore unit in the not too distant future. And, that's going to be a challenge setting up the TV cable if I still have it...

Do you make a manual valve body for the 46RE?

He does, I ran a non lock up, manual VB. With the OD off it works like a 3 speed, turn OD back on and it's a normal 46RE.

Yep, Martin Saine built my 46RE with a non lock up valve body, it was great, only reason I sold it is I went with a 727.
