Just seeing what people have used and liked? Which one cools better and is deeper?
Transmission is getting a new viper 2800stall, oil flush, and possibly a shift kit and I want to get a deeper pan while i'm working on the transmission.

only thing i don't like about mopars, is I wish the drain plug was on the bottom of the pan. but i like the little drain it has on the inside.

How many quarts does it add??

I have the same one, but I couldn't get it to fit with the Mopar Y pipe cutting across the front of it. It wouldn't line up on the bolt holes.

You selling yours?
My (JM) Longtubes are above the lip and bearly touch the lip of the pan. Another thing I have to pay attention to when getting a new pan.

The drain hole being on the side or on the bottom really isn't a big deal. If you're draining the fluid you might as well drop the pan and change the filter anyway. The drain just makes it so you're not trying to balance a gallon of tranny oil in the pan while you lower it down.

I have the Mopar pan on both of my R/T's and I like it. No fitment issues at all. I had an LPW pan and I liked it as well, but to get it to fit I had to grind a small bracket on the valve body. Was pretty easy to do. Some say that you have to grind the same bracket for the Mopar pan.

The Mopar pan also has the temp sensor hole pre-drilled and tapped, while you need to do it yourself on the LPW pan. That's cake to do as well, but if it matters to you.. there it is.

Great write up, thanks  Yea, i guess the plug really isn't a big deal. If the fluid drips down, i wipe it up anyways. Just wasnt thinking :jester:

I used the B&M Cast Aluminum deep pan from summit it was Cheapest price wise.I had to have small area inside of it smoothed over with grinder to fit properly but other than that it was good to go has a drain in the bottom and fit fine with the Mopar Headers.Holds something like 2-4qts extra. Good luck:worky:
