Members,

Todd has announced that he will step down as VP of the club. He has agreed to stick around and continue helping with IT/Admin duties anywhere that's needed.

With that said, We are seeking nominations. Please post any nominations up here. Remember, the only requirement is that the person be a paid member of the club. Any nominations you guys make, a current elected rep needs to second that nomination for it to be valid. Then the person must accept the nomination.

I nominate my son Josh, he seems to be one of the more mature members around here anyway

IMO, both are worthy of the position.

Thank you for the nomination Dick and Scott. I honestly feel that I'm not the right person for the position and there are other members that would do a better job than me. I'll second Josh's nomination since an exec has to do that to make it official. I would Also like to nominate Steve '02CC for VP. He would be the first non RT owner to hold an exec position let alone one of the top 4 positions if is elected. I haven't met anyone with more enthusiasm and love for our club and trucks, plus he is a very articulate and intelligent person. I feel whole heartedly he would make a great VP.

If you would like to eradicate me completely, yes. Lots would, so if you want some training if you win let me know.

I accept the nomination and appreciate the nice words. I do have to throw out this disclaimer thought that I may not have the ability to attend the conference calls because I work nights. Also whenever I believe my schedule is stable something comes along and changes it again (for example I've had a stable M-F work week for a couple months now but my hours will start changing back and forth from 3:30pm-midnight and 7pm-3am)

Filthy Filbert

We haven't had conference calls since last year. Been trying to do everything via exec forum. This is a car club, not a corporation. Few hours a week if that, dedicated to the club is fine. Nothing we have going on right now is urgent enough that we need conference calls to come to agreements quickly.

So nominations as I read are:

Friggin' R/T
Steve '02 CC
Lonesoldier

Thanks guys for being willing to step up!!

I think any of you would make a good addition!

Tom let me know if you want me to start a poll. Not sure if we planned a public vote or Exec only based on current bylaws.

I think Eric declined.

You're right Tom I did. Josh or Steve would do a far better job than I could at this time. I work 70+ hours a week and have a big family that takes most of my attention. I can't perform to the level the club needs as being the VP.

New rule - your truck has to run "most of the time" guess that excludes you :fml:

That rule would exclude 75% of the Dakota community.

By the way, said 1st born is 20 yrs old today. Wish him a happy b-day !

Thanks man, also the drop shackles we PM'd about aren't happening, but western chassis may be making us some new custom hangers

I don't know how much I trust Western Chassis. Ever since they were bought out they have gone down hill. If they do make new drop hangers then hopefully they will get a Dakota in there and make new patterns.

Todd is joking. If you check the bylaws there's nothing in there about the vp having to provide IT support. Todd has agreed to hang out and continue with site IT support when needed.

Chase, I know you said in your text that you were 'back in'. Can you confirm that you're re-accepting the nomination?

Ok, I'm going to close nominations. Your candidates are:

Chase Sanborn -- chase1500
Josh Merrick -- Friggin' R/T
Steve Shelton -- Steve '02CC
(several nods for John Drago, but he never accepted. If he accepts in the next 24 hours or so, I will add him to this list as well before I create the polls)

I will create the public and exec polls this weekend.
