Hell yeah! There's a very good chance one will end up next to the R/T  Not for a while tho, fuckers are gonna be marked up like crazy when they first hit the streets. Plus I want to wait and see if they drop the 6.4 in it :woot:

beat me with a fuck head stick, but for some reason I like the carbon fiber stripes on the black more than the HEMI orange!!!

Either way, I would take one even if it was covered in horse shit and rust, NOTHING could make that car look bad!

I agree Damon, the black looks like something Darth Vader would drive.

Already confirmed for the '09 models  Plus for '09 the 5.7 is getting bumped to 380hp and the 6.1 is supposed to get bumped to around 440hp. And then hopefully the 6.4 for 2010. Next few years are gonna be fun. :)

Yeah, that's what I'm hearing, gonna be badass.

Also, Allpar is saying that in the next couple weeks they're going to announce that the Super Stock version will be available as a body-in-white race only deal, wicked.

Sometimes I wish I could say the things I know  but one thing I CAN say is that yup, the chalenger does come in a stick for the first full production model year.

It had better have a solid rear axle, 3.92 gears, and no traction control (or at least be able to turn it off better than you can in the Charger/Magnum/300).

Another "Dodge Different" feature... 400hp Vipers came with 335 width tires. 425-440hp Challengers come with 245 width tires. Ouch.

One thing that will hurt the Challengers just like it does the other LX's is the 20" wheel/28" tire size. There simply isn't a lot of wide tire options in that diameter that are "performance car" tires - the vast majority of the 20"+/28"+ tires were built for trucks. I was trying to mount up some custom 19"x12" CCW's with 315/40-19 Eagle F1's on my Charger, but John @ CCW flaked out on me and never filled my order.

How does that tie into the pending demise of the hemi, as discussed in other topics? [due to poor MPG and emissions] Are the 6.1 and/or 6.4 versions cleaner? I wouldn't think so? Or will they still be made, subject to gas guzzler tax?

demise of the hemi is false, they have upgraded the hemi, so yeah, the old hemi is dead, the new himi debuts in the chalenger.

No solid axle, sorry.

and the thing weighs 4100lbs dry, so if you look at how light weight the viper is, its not as bad as it sounds.... still bad though.

Just wait for the super stock one from Mopar, weighs 600-800lbs less and doesnt come with a bunch of the crizap.
