So the truck was throwing all kinds of codes. Misfires, evap, and O2's. When I'd turn the key to start it, it would just turn and turn but not fire up. Turn the key off, back on again and it would fire right up.

I did a little bit of research and happened to see a post on Facebook from a guy that was having the same issue as me. Turned out to be the fuel pressure regulator. So I went ahead, bought a new one, took it to the shop and replaced it. Problem solved.

For those of you that don't know what it is or where it's located, here it is. The round silver metal piece directly on top of the fuel pump.

Reason it was doing what it was doing is because the old regulator wasn't holding pressure up towards the motor. When the truck was turned off, it was allowing fuel to pour back into the tank. So when I'd go to start it up again, it'd have to do a couple prime cycles to build pressure back up. With the new one though, it's holding pressure at the fuel rail at all times so it's ready to go.

Just thought I'd share.

Yeah the check valve failing in the fuel pressure regulator is a very very common issue.
