I know quite a few people around here have run the m&h racemaster radials I would really just like to know some feedback about them. I'm just debating on what i'm going to get mounted up for track use.

Love my 325 M&H's, excellent tire. I've cut 1.64's on them. Make sure you use the dakotartclub tiger code if you go for the M&H's, saves you about $70 on a set of 325's.

I run the M/T ET radials and absolutely love them. Once I get a convertor and gears it will definitely make a huge improvement. Fastest 60 foot to date is a 1.93 and thats with major bog out of the hole. Thats with a stock stall convertor and 3.21 gears. The convertor flashes about 1600rpm great for a truck thats pulling a load but for Drag Racing it blows

27.2", so it's a lil shorter than the M&H's. And the pattern is amazingly similar to the M&H's.

Hey dave what other suspesion mods to you on your truck. I know i'm going to be no where close to a 1.6sec 60 foot. But hopefully when i'm on the bottle i'll get somewhere near a 1.8 or so.

I cut 1.7's on ET streets with hotchkis leafs/bilsteins. It's not that hard to do.

Hotchkis suspension with QA1 adjustable shocks, that's all. Depending on your setup, I would think you should see at least 1.7's if you're spraying out of the hole. Also depends on the track. The 1.6's I had were at Atco with good prep, at my local 1/8th mile with crappy prep I cut 1.77's on them, and had to roll into the throttle off the line, if I punched it they would spin. So the track definitely plays a big part. But with good tires, decent power, and good weight transfer, you can cut some good short times. I always pull the front sway bar to help with weight transfer. I haven't done the spring clamp mod yet, but might try that this year (removing the rear clamp and adding an extra clamp to the front side of the leaf spring).

thanks guys i apreciate the feedback. The prep at my track is usually really good i usually cut a 2.0-2.1 on street tires.

I use M/T ET radials also and cut 1.6s on them...they're a good tire and I don't plan on ever switching.

Right on. Couple of tips, they seem to like more pressure than slicks, I have cut my best 60's with 'em at 25psi, and they don't need a very big burnout, maybe 3-5 seconds, just till you see some smoke.

Also, be very careful if you get caught in the rain with them, and keep an eye out for road debris, they are extremely soft, which makes for great traction, but I lost my first set to a big gash from something I must have hit on the road.

I love being able to drive to the track, race and drive home without making any changes to the truck :woot:

yea, more than likely they will be for the track only or on friday nights where i might find something worth stoplight racing.

Yup, I started with a set of the 275's, ran 'em for about 4k miles on the street, from PA to VA and back, everywhere. Then noticed a big gash in one of 'em, down to the cords, so I ordered up a set of the 325's, still running those they have some life left in 'em. I'll see how they do with the new setup, but will probably end up stepping up to the 390's on a set of widened rims

Wow, that's awesome. I didn't even ask 'em, since I had already put 4k miles on 'em. But that goes to show the great customer service at M&H, the guys there are great. I'm gonna go with a set of their full slicks for my Bogarts when my Hoosiers are done.

I am getting my R/T rear wheels widened. Should I go 12" or 11"? How wide are the 390 M&H tires? :burnout:

Been some talk about the same thing in that thread..even pics! :jester:

11'' is wide enough for the M&H 390s. I emailed weldcraft and its $180 per wheel to widen them 2''.

Is there any street radial tire that you can run every day on a widened rim? Besides a drag radial. Around 28 to 29 inches tall?
