To start off ill fill some in those that dont know the story.
addicted started life as a v6 42re 8.25. In '06 i got a 99 360 with 40k miles on it, the heads were cracked pretty bad. i threw it on a engine stand to lightly build it for what i wanted before it went it.
EQ heads with 2.02 intake/ 1.65 exhaust SS one piece valves, .600 mopar springs etc
210x cam
1.7 HS rockers
m1 2bbl
fastman 52mm TB polished bores
pph headers
sct tuned
after a couple years the motor went in and took out the 42re, a rebuilt 46re went back in but not long afterwards i realized something wasnt right about the motor at which i was thinking i might not had degreed the cam correctly. further checking revealed a compression issue. once the motor was out i took it to a friend who owns a machine shop to check it over. he redid the cam anyways but when he checked the heads they were the issue. the valve seats were still factory size with my oversized valve in them and the springs were setup for factory lift, i did email the company that put them together my cam specs so it was their screw up. also the same time the rebuilt 46re went in i also put in a 9.25 lsd 3.55 rear end.
last year july '13 the motor went back in and it was back on the road. new tires, upper and lower control arms got some new ES bushings with bumpstops, swaybar end links. 3 weeks later the trans went out.
now a Msaine 46re will be going back in, so this weekend ill be pulling it all back out to put the trans in and hope its back on the road next week.
once its back on the road a couple weeks later itll be back on jackstands. plans so far
replace the font drop coils with hotchkis coils
replace "again" passenger outter tie rod end
cut the spare tire holder out and rebrace that section
look into bracing the frame between the cab and bed
rebuild the factory rear end lsd
replace the rear end 3.55 with 4.10 gears
replace leaf spring bushings with ES poly bushings
add a B&M floor shifter
then hopefully itll be back on the road and fine tuned with sct by ryan.
