What is a Mirada CMX?

The Miradas were only built 4 years,80-83 and the CMXs were the performance package.They only made like 1,400 CMXs in 82 so there
kinda rare.They were the last of the V-8 RWD coupes Chrysler made
in that era excluding the Viper.When I saw it for sale I couldn't pass
on it.
And if by chance he did beat the ole mans truck that would put him

The photo Nolan posted is the standard Mirada.The CMXs had a faux
convertible top.They had stopped making convertibles at that time
due to safety.They actually used a true convertible top and just
layed it over the steel roof,so you still got stuck with trying to
preserve the fabric! That era was a very unique time for american
cars.The end of the big bodied RWDs was very near.

Well after doing some major web searchs last night to get a hotel room in
Collinsville I finally found one.Steve Z it looks like they won't let us pit
under the stands for this one,they have it designated on their map as
"RV" parking.Since I'm only running the street truck class I bet I end up
pitted on the circle track.

I didn't think that they would use the circle track. the only drag event they use that on is the NHRA National event.

Those 3 buddy's that were together I think were kinda pissed at us, mainly me. The guy I took out 1st round and the guy I beat in the final were firends with the white lightning you took out 2nd round. the guy I beat in the final was running him mouth about he won that back in 04 and one of his friends wanted to bet me $100 on the side that the red lightning would beat me in the final. I should have taken it. I treed his ass to .020 to .086 and broke him out at the top end. 11.77 on a 11.89 index and I ran a 14.94 in the 15.03 index (1 tenth breakout allowed)

I'm just glad you won it because I still think it was crap that the only 2
Dodges got paired for the semi finals but that did guarantee a Mopar-Ford
final.That #7 white lightning I took out the 2nd round was Jim Roberts out
of Largo Fl. He and Johnny Lightning are a couple of the big boys on the
NMRA Truck & Lightning circuit. In his defense though he pulled up beside
on the return road after we got the slips and gave me a thumbs up,Kinda
caught me off guard but showed real sportsmanship on his part.There
are quite a few videos on the web of your final round win.I'll see if I
can find a link and post it here.
