What year Dakota were the tunes written for? Not sure how it would be causing the gauges not to work, but if you are trying to use tunes meant for a '99 on your 2002 I could see it causing problems.

For whatever reason the Can-bus line is down to your instrument panel and the PCM can't "talk" to it. I'm sure there are other opinions, this is just my 2 cents.

Put it back to the stock tune and hope all is well. Then, call Hemifever, Chris at PIE or Flyin' Ryan and see what you have to do to make it work on your truck. You may have to send it to one of them to get it cleared. :idunno: The tunes in the used SCT unit are VIN and PCM # specific IIRC.

Then you need tunes written for your truck, SCT is not like a Superchips.

As said contact the tuner of your choice.
