Simple question. Are all high flow cats the same or are there better brands than others.

Yeah. I would just like to do that too, but I go to Chicago alot and they check under the cars for them if your exhaust is loud.

they should all flow close to the same.... the differences will be in the case construction I believe.....

I have Maggies, no complaints yet

That is what I figured, but I wanted to make sure.

If you get it low enough they won't bother to crawl under it to check. I'm glad i don't have to go through inspection b/c i enjoy polluting the air with unburned gas and ear spliting noises. I do have mufflers though.

Yeah that is true.

Yeah if you just need them for visual inspection, just get some cheep ones (or gut ones out). If you actually had to have them for inspection, that would be a whole different story. On my old car, I had Magnaflow ones, they seemed pretty decent quality for a fairly low price.

I like my metalic spun type converters. You can see right through them. Don't get the cheaper ceramic ones, they don't flow as well and will eventually fail just like the stock ones do.

Notice just one of them is rated to 5.9L, two should suffice for flow :-)
