Best so far for 2013. Maybe I might have another chance at another day at the track in December - we'll see.

I didn't have my "stuff" together at Sac - but it still went OK in spite of my efforts to mess it up. It wouldn't hook like it should - and I never got it cleaned-up at the hit, which would probably have made it worse anyway. Such as it is, here's the slip for my "big adventure" to lower DA than the truck has ever seen at 646'.

Uhhhh, in the right lane of course.

Pokey :finger:

Glad you made it down to real air Duner, even if it didn't turn out the way you wanted it too. I think you did damn good for having virtually no sleep.. lol.

Its still quicker than my shit

Hahaha... it wasn't just the no sleep on the trip, it was the no sleep for the week preceding the trip that kicked my ass. I picked a fine time to quit drinking Monster. :finger:

Congrats "Mr. National Meet Record Holder" !

You broke Ron Merx's 2002 record of 10.77
And it only took someone 11 years to do it!

Thanks!

But I sure wanted to take a bigger bite out of that record than that!
All my "coulda, woulda, shoulda's" didn't add up right.
Errr, I mean subtract right.
They NEVER do.

I gained 2 tenths on my 60' time.
I picked up 4 mph.

They prepped the track well enough for 4wd diesels that don't care about track prep.

Oh ok I see!
So u dropped a tenth or 2 and dropped like 5000 DA

What would I have dropped with equal track prep?

Boost vs NA as well... different gains in DA changes...

There's no reason to try and compare density altitude changes to any of Duner's times at Sac. The DA simply wasn't a factor there.

1.The track was poorly prepped for his power level. IE... He slipped when the 2 step was working (somewhat) correctly.

2. When the 2 step was rich, he was bogging outta the hole.

If he had gotten a clean run, with a clean 2 step and traction, then the DA differences would come into play.

About 8-hours worth of sleep and one more day at TnT would have helped considerably!

Slipping the starter a $20 to spray a little bit of VHT would have probably worked wonders as well. :drive:

Isn't the traction argument not one of Kris's argument?

Time for a 4 link everyone.

Great runs by the way.

I'm pretty sure diesel soot isn't the best traction aid.... and NEVER be the next pair after jet cars have run either.

(there were no jet cars there - just speaking from experience)

So it's confirmed...If I ever did race my NA truck at sea level I'd kick your ass down the track.

If you wish hard enough, maybe your dream will come true and his truck will come out of the garage so you can race it. :jester:
