Some of the Hemi Ram guys from Dodgetalk.com will be going to Cecil on Saturday November 8 for some Test and Tune action. Gates open at 8am.

If anyone wants a hotel, you can stay at the Best Western nearest the track for $120/night, or over at the Holiday Inn Express for $99/night. Both hotels are new within the last two years and very nice. Holiday is in closer to the beer store and Waffle House though. :jester:

I'm not planning any dyno time or any back up plans. Cecil is just too far out of the way for that anymore. I might even just come up Saturday morning from my house since I'm not that far away. If people are willing to stay and party Sat night, I will.

I'll be down for at least one of the NE fall events. Depends on how much work I get done on the truck if I'm bringing it or not.

If I am not in Korea we can plan something at my house. I have plenty of couches a kegarator, and a grill. I am only 14 miles from the track. There is some nightlife in Havre de Grace, a few bars and what not. I don't live in the same big house but I have a guest bedroom and like I said couches that are free.

The whole point is to lay the smack down on some Ram's. Can't do that on a trailer.

You must experience at least once the side of Cecil that is drunken hotel parties and trips to waffle house at 3am.

Before or after I fall asleep in the pisser?:jester:

Heads are at the machine shop, how long do you think it would take P.I.E to do my cam/heads install and tune?

hey how far is it from the va beach area of chesapeake, i should have access to a trailer by then and wouldnt mind making a few passes and is it 1/8th or 1/4 mile

mtlcafan79

Google Maps says 300 miles from VA Beach. Use Bay View, MD as your destination and it will get you right to the track.

ChrisR/T
08-27-2008, 03:23 PM
It's a full quarter mile track, not sure how far from VA beach area though...

Missed that part. It's 1300' long, downhill all the way, with a -20' elevation. We ran some trucks 0.4 quicker there than at our local track. They usually do a decent job at prep as long as it's not ricer night.

According to mapquest it takes 4 hours but I can usually make it to DC in 2 hours depending on traffic. I'll probably go up 13 though through delaware.

And I won't be, I will be in Korea that weekend. Once again I miss all the fun at the track 12 miles from me. BS. My truck might make it out there though. If is done be might take it out and run it first.

If I can get it to run well on the MSII I should I'll be there. I'll have some street tuning and a short "land and sea" dyno session by then. Then we'll get to see what kinda track numbers my new set up posts up.

Anyone who lives by cecil know if I can get e85 closeby?

My truck goes in tuesday for a little tranny issue should be done the nexst day. Will do the dyno tune with meth and 16 lbs on friday so maybe it might just do a little something on sat. It made 503 rwhp at 10 lbs so lets see what see does. Not caged so won't see many 16lb passes. Looking forward to seeing some R/Ts there guys (hope to see some Ls to).

Right now I'm excited if I pass a civic without the AFR going nuts. lol.

Sean, will you be going to the dyno shop on that Sat? If I'm up and running by then I'll def need to visit a dyno before I run down the track on Sun. I'll be tuning with the PRP so any help with the tables would be appreciated. Will most likely run the Mopar PCM just to get me up there and of course bring the stock PCM to swap for it along with a laptop.

Yeah, about that dyno. The shop I was going to use burned to the ground back in July. The dyno pit was flooded and they dyno was a total loss. They still haven't reopened yet. If people are serious about a dyno, I can find another local shop.
