I've recently install a new rear end gear that was 4.10. OEM was 3.23:idunno:
I was impatient to test it to the track, so my best on last friday night was 14.64@92.18mph. Let see the difference between last year best and this year:

last year: 60 foot = 2.112 this year with 4.10: 2.047
330 foot = 6.078 5.984
1/8 et = 9.377 9.309
1/8 mph = 74.59 73.52
1/4 et = 14.648 14.641
1/4 mph = 93.10 92.18

I expected a major difference like 3tenth.:fml:
P.S:this year, i run on 26-8.5-15 e/t drag

Do you have the temps from last year?

I can be 3 tenths slower just because of the change in DA. One must keep a log.

Now drop some nitrous in it and spray off the line!! You have to get those 60s down

If you still have the beer barrel you should be able to drop down to 1.9 or 1.8 in the 60 with those gears and tires. Figure out what it likes on the launch.

How did you determine the stock gear ratio was 3.23?

I get the feeling they were 3.92, which is why you didn't see much of a gain.
3.23 would be very odd for an R/T, even taking into account "Dodge Different".

I guess somebody was in there before you, or the whole axle assembly was replaced at some point. Was the truck in an accident?

That's probably right. I had a chevy truck back in the day with a 3.40 gear. Sent a chunk of ring gear through the case and replaced it with a junkyard rear end. It had a 3.08 gear. Man, did that ever suck.
