I just wanted to know if anyone has raced one of those new x-runners, I've already been beat twice by two:mad:. I don't think my truck has the top end they have, one was SC so i didn't feel so bad but the other I think just had an intake. My truck was stock at the time but just bought an intake.

I considered one for my daily driver at one point. A V6 with real power and a 6 speed. I've driven one and they are fun. Stock for stock they will hang, if not beat r/t's. Each being modded, who knows. Being 10:1 comp with a blower always worried me. It seems to be the only way they make any real power though.

About the only time I've ever had a problem with the Xrunner is turning left or right those pickups have awesome handling.

Stock to Stock, a Club Cab Dakota will have trouble with an X-Runner. The Dak will have the advantage off the line if you don't spin the tires, but the X-Runner's lighter weight and 6-speed will reel you in. The X-Runner comes with an improved suspension, they can handle well.
Where the R/T shines over the X-Runner is in the modifications department. TRD did not develop a supercharger for the modern X-Runner, so all they have available is a handful of bolt-ons. A modded R/T will not have much trouble against most X-Runners.

havent had trouble with them off the line.....one did hang with me neck and neck when i had the 3.92 gears all the way up to about 75-80mph. i pull away at the line with the 4.56's now.....dont know about the highway though :/

i'd say you would prob still pull on him b/c there is less load on the motor with the 4.56 gears

With the 22's he may have you beat. The throttle body spacer is a paperweight.

I knew I should've put 22s on mine when I had it, it looks good. I thought they'd look too big, but it doesn't at all. Very nice!

Man those are big steam rollers.I would have guessed that 22s would be way to big for a Dakota but not so,they look good. How much do those wheels weigh and how does it ride with that wheel and tire cobo?
04STAMPEDE/RC
02-23-2008, 03:51 PM
wheels weight 50lbs apiece, and they ride really good, tends to bottom out in the rear on rough roads and don't try to hang any curves w/ big wheels they seem like the tires try to roll on ya since there not much side wall!:jester:
WickedQwikRT
02-23-2008, 05:12 PM
those sidewalls should be reinforced....ive drifted on my 265/35r20...just hurt a little in my wallet.:D
04STAMPEDE/RC
02-23-2008, 06:39 PM
yeah they are reinforced but im talking high speed cornering, lol, but yeah they do alright but not like my factorys on a curvy a$$ road which then the trucks only a couple of inches off the ground too!

Agreed. the BEST stock times are about 15.6. Average is upper 15s. The TRD blower helps that a bit though...
