We should really start planning it now! :)
Sean any word on the Ram guys about getting toasted by a couple of Dakota's?
Bryan, any ideas on something else in case that doesn't pan out?
Sean had a good idea for the over 21 crowd. If we get the typical Cecil rain-out we could take a drive to the Dogfish-Head Brewery in Delaware. REALLY good beer, and apparently they're a food joint too?
Throw your ideas in here, lets get this thing rollin! I'm finally getting my truck together so I'm gonna wanna drive it..

I'm really looking forward to the fall meet, and if we have some people to beat up on at the dragstrip, that would be great. Having a rain plan is a good idea too, considering it IS a cecil meet, dont' get your racing hopes up lol.
Does the dogfishhead brewery card at the door, or can underage people (my girlfriend if she comes) enter?

Doesn't say anything about having to be 21, she probably can't drink though..

What's the timeframe for this? Sometime in October or November?

It's looking like November 8 posisbly with the Ram guys. We may switch this up and dyno on Saturday/brewery and race on Sunday. I'm waiting for the Ram guys to decide their date. They may decide to race at MIR. I really don't want to drive that far. It's another 2 hours south from Cecil for you northern guys. The shop that rebuilt my 408 has a dyojet and he was willing to a dyno/SCT custom tune day for us on a Saturday. I will post our options up as the time gets closer.
We may race at Capitol in Crofton on a Sunday. That's near my house. That means Saturday is open for Clipper City brewery again, or if we dyno in DE, Dogfish brewery. I can host BBQ again if people are interested. There's also "after dark" entertainment near my house as well. Ask Chris and Greg about that one.

Oh, and there are no Saturday TnT sessions at Cecil in October. We have to race in September or November for weekend TnT. All of the tracks have special races in October on the weekends.

After dark entertainment is much fun. You meet strippers/porn stars.
I'm all for racing on Sunday, and dyno/brewery on Saturday.

If I attend it'll be mostly for the BBQ and brewery, not so much truck stuff haha. I'll be in Va. Beach though, so I'm not sure if I'll be willing to make the hike up or not. We'll see. I really don't drive much while at school though so putting the miles on the truck really won't be a huge deal.

I hope this event doesnt end up too far south like sean was saying, I'm already driving 215 miles to get to the cecil area, and I definitely don't want to miss this event. It's been a while since we've done some racing together, and I really hope the weather pulls through.

Sean keep us posted on the dates. I have I think 4 of those trophies left, when we get a date I can have new plates made for them.
Also I've talked with Chris H about taking holeshot pictures at the strip. I'm going to try to squeeze the club for some money to cover materials. This would be a paid member thing only. so this way everybody who shows up gets something:biggthumpup:

Also, I meant to ask:
Is there any intrest in having a banner made for our meets at Carlisle or Cecil? I know someone that can make them, not sure what they'd cost.
Bryan: As far as materials, whatcha thinkin' about? I've got the equipment I need, if you're talking single pictures, like an 8x10 size, I should be able to print them at home and mail them to everyone.
If you're looking for a calendar type of thing, check with CafePress. I know some of the folks from 2gn.org did a calendar that way and it was really nice.

I'm good on paper, I buy it in bulk so it might cost maybe 50 cents to a dollar a sheet. Shipping should be pretty cheap too.
I was thinking of putting together a calendar for the NorthEast crew to purchase on their own if they want. If i can't get enough submissions for that, I'll open it to the rest of the DRTC.

Nov sounds good cause hopefully I will have my truck back. And hopefully I won't be in Korea. SHIT Welcome to stay at my place. Not as big anymore, but I have room for about 3 on couches and I have a queen bed someone can crash on.

Ok, cool, that's not too bad. I hear Korea and think one year tours like the Army guys I used to work with always talked about.

This is a great idea, I'd love one. Specially if my truck was in it. :rockwoot:

I was thinking like a 12 month wall calender.
I would need 13 trucks/pictures of trucks. I was thinking a group photo for the front, and various truck on various months. Maybe making July a picture of all the trucks at Carlisle or something?
Right now, it's just a thought.

Back to the meet... not that I have a driving vehicle, or would be albe to attend, but won't weather be an issue into november? Wouldn't mid october be less likely for snow problems? Not just on the track, but travel time to and home?

So the HEMI Ram guys over on Dodgetalk.com are going to Cecil Nov 8. I know Dave can't go that weekend, but does everyone else still want to race with them? I will be talking to Chris from Performance Injection Equipment about hosting a dyno day for us on that Sunday possibly. The only thing is the shop is 100 miles from Cecil in Laurel, DE. Do people really want to travel that far to dyno? I will probably drop any Sunday events otherwise and make this a Friday night/Saturday event with everyone rolling out on Sunday.

I've never seen it snow down here before thanksgiving. The only option other than November is the first two weekends of September. October is blocked off with special races every Saturday.

There's the weekend before Thanksgiving too, but there won't be any of the Ram guys up there. I can make it a Sunday race at Capitol down there to as an alternative if people don't want it to be Cecil. Just don't expect Cecil times from that track. I have a hotel lined up within stumbling distance of a Mall/Bars, night life, local dynos (withint 10 min from the hotel), beer tours, and other back up plans. I'll post the other options later tonight maybe. Would people like that better than Cecil?

I am down for november, I will have one or both of the trucks there. I am hoping the Black one will be ready to race by then. Not holding my breath though.

I've asked this already without a response, but as far as shirts go is everyone interested in having shirts made? And if so, does anyone have a shirt connection? If not I do. Here's a quick sample I had done to show everyone.
