Well, sometime by the end of the year after I rebuild the tranny, & install heads & cam I'm wanting to add a power adder... NO2 is way cheaper but I think I'd rather the always there at any given time power of the s/c... what do yall recommend?

you can build a nice all motor truck and throw the ocasional bottle at it. that's what i have. if you build a blower motor, it's a blower motor. it's normally pretty weak (in comparison) all motor.

Don't make me take my belt off :rockwoot:
I want to try it N/A this year. The 409 may run OK with the 9.5 : 1 compression. Cam may hurt it though.

Can I have an option for turbo(s)? Hehe. Between the two nitrous is much more efficient, and it will have better street maners off the juice while not wasting any extra gas. Simplier to tune too.

Filling bottles gets old. I'd do a 408 and cam it accordingly to your intended use.

In the hot humid summers of Louisiana, I'd take Nitrous over a supercharger.

Nitrous is great at the track, but it's an on/off switch. There is no middle position. On the street all it does it leave two black lines.

Tough choice. I had a Paxton for a long time, loved it. Going with a bottle for the new setup, but then again the new setup will be running 11's on the motor, so the bottle will just be for fun every once in a while. I'm gonna miss the blower, and might go back to boost later on. Having the power all the time is nice, but once you start making big power, you can't use it on the street anyway (unless you roll DR's all the time, and even then you'll want to make sure you have a big straight stretch of open road in front of you). It was a rare occasion that I went more than 1/2 throttle on my old setup on the street.
As others have mentioned, it's easier to tune a nitrous setup. For a blown app, you'll want to go with SCT or a standalone if you're gonna go for big power, probably need to redo the fuel system as well. Whereas you can have a nice all motor setup, and run 11's on the bottle with the stock fuel system.
So, really, it just depends on your goals and how much you want to spend.

I'm going with the nitrous. I don't want the tuning headaches of a supercharger or turbo. Much cheaper as well and it's only there when you want it.

Boost all the way. I had nitrous, but got tired of paying $4.50 a #, and now it's $5 - $5.50 a #..

Pat Musi the Nitrous GODD himself said it well and put it into perspective.
Your gonna pay to play (period) you can pay for parts NOW and run Boost or pay for parts later and run Nitrous either way your gonna pay.
He also said he burns up about 3-5 engines every season where the boost guys may burn up 1-2 on a bad season.

I've got both! So I'm gonna have to vote for both. :D If I had to give one up? I'd be throwing the bottle in the trash. :D
