i have a 2006 Dakota R/T, im sure some of you recognize the truck, others may not... it is real do not ask if it is, came from factory its a true R/T
its an awesome truck i really cant stop puttin money into it-

Truck looks great!

It's not that far, it's only a two hour drive from Philly, so depending on where you are in Jersey, shouldn't be too far. It's a great show, you should try to make it next year if you can. :biggthumpup:

LOL, I see you most mornings. Mon-Thurs, I'm usually in a red cummins ram 2500 4x4. Fridays, lately, I'm in a lowered silver R/T CC. Somewhere between 7 & 7:30, right ? I'm heading west, towards Cranbury. I see that SRT guy too. You should come out to some of the local cruise nights, we have some good ones. In fact, there's a big one in Freehold tonight. PM me your info, we should meet up sometime.

thats funny yeah thats my drive to work every morning around 7:20, get off at fairfield road, yeah we def gotta meet up some time, tonight i gotta pack to vacation tho so cant come out to cruise night wish i could.. august ill come out def. yeah ill have to pay more attention tomorrow when im driving haha that time of the morning is just trying to stay awake! but def gotta meet up my buddies got the srt 8 jeep and hes slappin in a turbo in a couple weeks so that would be a nice line up !

It's prob a goos thing that we're all a bunch of great people...otherwise that welcoming coulda been ugly...lol

As u can tell man, we all get the prev gen R/Ts with the 360ci/5.9l in it. I know most of us think of those as the true R/Ts.

What made the 06 a real R/T other than badging? Did they do somethin special to the suspension and/or tuning?

well it got the high output v8 and im not sure about this but it has a 5 speed sport auto, it has 2 seconds gears, ones for cruising ones for flooring it.... sounds dum but idk, it has the seats with r/t on them, which im riping out i hate them, i mean this 4.7 isnt horrible but it isnt fast either, its too slow for my taste which is why i am getting a blower :burnout: honestly alot of the work you see in the pictures i did myself.. it honestly like everyone said didnt have a whole lot come with it as far as badging and the boosted hp engine... but i love the truck so who cares.........:rockwoot:

The main difference for the GenIV R/T's is the HO 4.7, which actually makes more power than the stock 5.9. There are a few other changes:

"The Dakota R/T is available as either a Club Cab or Quad Cab and is powered by a 260-horsepower 4.7-liter High Output V8 engine with a sport appearance package in Inferno Red, Brilliant Black or Solar Yellow that includes a hood scoop, chrome exhaust tips, R/T instruments, and 17-inch chrome-clad aluminum wheels."

The newer trucks need more umph due to the increased curb weight.
I think its some 400lbs extra its carrying. :D

yeah idk but i think one line of kota had ho's but it only lasted 1 year i think...
and thanks when i get back from vacation caymen islands baby ill pay the dues when i get back...............
hopefully everything works out the way i want it too..... its a work in progress and hope to have the blower by next spring!!
