Yesterday while I was at work some a-hole jumped the wall behind my house and broke in. got the camera with my daughters B-day party pictures, and about 10K worth of jewelry and heirloom stuff that can't be replaced. our only hope of getting anything back is the Camera was not available on the US market so the police are hitting the pawn shops. And I WAS in a nice:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: neighborhood

My beagle is 14 years old and deaf, so I'm guessing that she woke up and found them in the Master bedroom. you can see the tracks outside in the dirt where they hauled ass. we couldn't get any good prints at all though they were wearing gloves

Yeah, were insured but without a special item rider for the jewelery we will only get $1000.00 for all of it. we have replacement cost insurance vice replacement value so with the jewelery and other stuff together we should get about 2-3 Grand. the money is not the real issue, the box they took had not only the good stuff bt it also held all the sentimental stuff.

FWIW when I bought my last house, I found the house and I used Jimmortgage fromthe delphi site...he is probably on here too. I am not the only member that has used Jim either.
My thought was, if someone is going to make a little money off of me, I would rather it go to someone in the group.

my best friend got married in september, he just finished the major renovations on his house and moved in just after New Years... they got broken into couple weeks after...

not sure if whoever it was maybe had been watching the house or not, maybe suspected that no alarm had been hooked up (which unfortunately, it had not)... smashed the new sliding door in the basement walkout, blocked the front door, went through the kitchen drawers (I guess for any cash people keep on hand), stole his wedding band and a chain (he works in a manufacturing plant, they do not allow jewelry while working for safety reasons)...

anyway, all in all, just shows that people suck...

I managed to get locked in at a 30Yr fixed for 5.37% the Brand new house listed for $580,000, and I got it for $370,000 two hours after I put the hold deposit dow there were three others in line behind me for the same house. It was just one of those things where god said it's time to kick Dan in the ass to buy a house. PS. it is wired for Security, and in a gated comunity inside a new community...you don't even know it's there unless your looking for it.

:woot:wow dan that rocks! we bought our house back in April and got a 30yr 5.5% fixed. had a guy offer us and the builder $1000 to break the contract b/c he wanted it. your neighborhood sounds nice too. only people to look out for would be the pizza guy. :goodluck:
