I just got my Kenne Bell mid lenth headers yesterday and noticed that they were for earlier dakota/durango's with im guessing one O2 senser. I have an 2001 Dakota R/T with the 2 pre cats and 4 O2 sensers. Is there anyway i can run these headers with the pre cats and numerous O2 sensers, or is there a way of getting around everything?

No... all exhausts have 1 sensor in each header plus whatever ones for the cats.

Have your shop put a bung in each header then worry about the precat sensors when you get your exhaust plumbed up.

like last post said have to have 1 O2 snsor in each collector and then the muffler shop can add the second down line sensor so you end up with 4 O2's do away with the preCats.

if i run the 4 O2 sensers and no pre cats wont that throw an engine code?Dont the downstream sensers have to read different then the up streams?

Run one in each header bank for a total of 2. Then if you're running a cat, put a sensor before it and after... like your stock exhaust. Ifyou're not running a cat, you can still plumb the sensors into the exhaust. You wont throw any codes.

Put the front 2 o2's in the header bungs then get 02 sims for the rear 2. Problem solved.
