I ran Autolite 3923's, cheap, easy to find and worked great.

Just a tip, go as cold as you can. EFI is a lot more forgiving of colder plugs. Also, if willing, you can cut the ground strap back to where it just starts to extend over the electrode. You can then round off sharp edges. This keeps the strap cooler, less likely to get hot and cause detonation.

Do you have a picture of this?

well i went with a 3922 autolites and my truck idles 100% better then with the douple platnum plugs i had. it use to studder at idle and die at stop signs i thought it was due to my tiny throttle body but with the new plugs it idles smooth and dosn;t die.

How important is it to change from stock plugs to say the 3922 on a stock motor with just 6 lbs of boost?

wont hurt anything. just dont use platinum tipped plugs.

Autolites have always held up well in my turbocharged bikes.

Im not worried about hurting anything because I know that wont happen.

Since I got the belt slippage issue taken care of I am getting 5 lbs of boost now but the truck stammers on the top of the rpms at 5 lbs boost now. I pulled a plug and they are the stock ones with 101,000 miles. :jester: Ya, they are so worn I bet they have .110 gap (should have measured). That is prob the problem. I am blowing out the spark with that much boost. So, Im going to change them and see if that solves my stammering problem.

100k on a set of plugs? You shoud submit those. I was running 25lbs of boost on my motorcycle engines... never had a problem with the spark blowing out.

Well my truck was bone stock (now just a blower) and it ran fine. :nana: Either way, I was due a plug change ya think? :burnout:

Do you have a picture of this? Here's one I found. Not the best, but I can't find the ones I've seen in the past. (ignore the finewire feature, don't run those) There are different types of ground strap modification. Some are made to form a little blunt triangle shaped strap terminating over electrode. Or you can cut it back and form more of a "U" shaped end with a file. Cut straight across and form the U with a file. http://www.ngk.com/sparkplug411.asp?kw=Tapered+cut&mfid=1

you can buy the autolites this way from the factory. I think they are 3923ra's or something. If you check their website you will see them.
