I don't know if the Flex-a-Lite 180 fan will fit on a '99. Maybe someone else will chime in if they're running one on a '99.

The price for the Viper fan has gone through the roof, $450 for just the Fan w/shroud.

$450? They were $165 Cdn last summer! If that's the case FAL 180 Extreme is the route! DC must be trying to get out of the hole on the backs of their strongest supporters!!! Try Mancini or Monacatti for the Viper first.

Not sure where you got the $450---- Monicatti is $152.15. Your dealer must be a rip off artist!!

I have a feeling you're getting that price from the 'Viper' pricelist. p/n P5007266 is in the MP catalog for 2/3 off!! HeHe!!

Flx-180 does the job on my '99. That's with up to 1/3 of the bottom of radiator uncovered by assembly. Tested to high 90's in 60+% humidity so far. Moe's performance has the best price. I got Summit Racing to price match since their shipping was lower. (~$15)

Thanks, that's good to know. The price was a quote from Danno on the Delphi forum

After a second look, p/n P5007266 may not be the same fan that Socal Dakota used for their fan kits. That fan looked like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Gen-2-1996-2002-Dodge-Viper-Fan-Module-new-OE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em118Q2el1247Q QcategoryZ33600QQihZ013QQitemZ230226790760QQrdZ1QQ sspagenameZWD1V

The fan listed at Monicatti sure doesn't look the same:

The pic on Monacatti is just a carryover from when MP used the gen 1 Viper fan. It should read 'not exactly as pictured' The ebay fan IS a P5007266-- for sure! That guy is likely capitalizing by selling MP parts as warrantied OER parts.

Be sure it's the Extreme model. The standard version is marginal even in our cooler climate here!!!

cfms is only part of the equation. My radiator is behind my trans cooler and ac condensor. So the fan has to work 3x as hard to pull air in.
