i've searched google and this site over and found only people doing this mod not how to do it. i have a lean problem at idle and want to try and see if this will help. i know the sensor is on the front and a vac. port right there at the mounting point. do i just unscrew it and plug that port then hook the map sensor vac port to one of the 3 port on the side/bottom of the m1? thanks for any tips.

There is a small rubber elbow between the map sensor and TB nipple. Remove it, cap the TB nipple, run a hose from a manifold nipple to the MAP senor nipple.

I did not care for using the manifold for the MAP source, seemed more docile and less responsive. My $0.02.

That's been my results as well. I would get a slight lean spot or a delayed tip-in response when the MAP was getting it's signal from the plenum vs the throttle body.

Interesting...I've never heard anything but rave reviews. I'm putting mine back to stock.

I was reading up on this for switching to the 2bar map. It says to run it from the intake manifold and not the TB.

So would it be better to relocate the Map and still have it connected to the TB

Good question.

When I try a boost-capable MAP I will try both places to see if there is any difference felt then.
