I did some digging and found out what all the comotion was about:

Apparently Layson's Restoration was reproducing parts without Mopar's consent. He'd been sent several letters to stop the process but continued to make parts. He was busted at Carlisle.

Apparently you need to register with Ma Mopar on parts you're going to remake, espeically if they're going to have the pentastar logo, or are branded/sold as OEM/NOS parts, allegedly Layson's didn't/wouldn't do this, thus he/his company was arrested on charges of fraud/infringement.

Yeah, and apparently in PA, the laws for that sort of thing are a bit more strict.

Rumor has it they also raided the warehouse...that company is DONE!

It was six people in the wrist warmers there. Some got zip cuffed.

Plus the guy from Mopar Collector's Guide.

The reason for the mask is undercover work. If someone ID'd that person through pictures or whatever, it could be bad news for them.

regardless. I understand to be prepared for the worst possible outcome but thats rediculous. They sold car parts not drugs.

After all of you guys left, the police made them pack their truck up with the entire booth and they confiscated everything. I saw a police officer driving their truck away after the burnout contest.

They sold trim pieces and interior pieces as well.

The trim pieces were expensive, i do believe they also make quiet a variety of parts for the early A-Body's (63-66)
