My truck currently has( Kumho) 255/55/17, I went to Big o Tires and they said the tire is discontinued? I'm going with some 255/50/17, will that tire be too low? What are you guys using for the stock 17's?

Lots of us use that size. The Riken's are decent. Is your truck lowered?

That is a one inch smaller tire. It will drop the truck down .5 inch and add .5 to your wheel well. That's not a big deal, may I sugjest maybe going a little wider while your at it? Try it and you could always lower the truck an inch or two and it will look good.
Or Try a 275/50/17 and it will be about stock, but wider.:)

not lowered yet, thinking about going with BFGoodrich. I just don't want my truck to look wierd if the tire height is too low.

Huge pics, sorry.

Nice truck, the tires look good but I don't know if they would look the same on a truck thats not lowered.

They wouldn't. I got the tires before I lowered it and it just looked goofy to me.

I have a pair of 255/55-17 Kumhos that came with the truck sitting in the garage. They're relatively low on tread, but are probably worth a few thousand miles. If you know someone who is already swinging by Vegas they might be worth picking up, I'd only want something like $30 for the pair.

I think the only 2 options in 275/50/17 are Falkens and Nittos. Unless someone else started making a tire in that size.

I think the 275/50/17's look the best on the stock R/T wheels....i was running those for awhile.......

There aren't to many options out there as far as tires go. I have run both the falkens and the nittos in 275/50/17. Both have their ups and downs the falkens rode a little nicer but had less traction and the nittos have more traction but are a little noiser but deffinatly bareable. As far as a 255/55/17 goes most of the options are way over priced i think the stock goodyears were over 200 a piece.

These are a pretty cheap option for the stock tire size. I bought two for the rear of my truck but I have not had them mounted yet. I bought these because you cann't get the Khumos anymore.

They might be able to get them. That link is the exact place I ordered mine from, and I know other people on this forum have also used them for tires without any issues.
