I hooked up my sub and amp real fast before work. Long story short no power on the amp. Checked the power with meter it was good. Remote wire was ok. Had the ground attached to the front seat bolt. Is that a ground? And what do others use in the CC for a ground? Feel free to move this just trying to fix this fast.

Rear seat bolt is the ground on my setup so I think you're fine in that regard.

Rear center bolt or door side? And thanks for the quick reply.

Shouldn't matter, door side would probably be easier to hide the wires.

seeing as how the seats are bolted into a reinforced area of the cab floor to prevent them from coming out of the floor in a crash, I'd have to say that yea, any bolt holding the seats down would be a good ground.

my self-contained powered sub uses the seat bolt as a ground

Got the same setup as you Tom boss1200. Gonna wire it to the rear seat bolt when I get out of work. Thanks everyone for the info. :hail:

The front bolts do not thread directly into the body like the rears are. They use spring nuts.
